Got in for a same day appointment. Dzennana was fun and really revamped my hair with a quick wash and cut. She also gave me some good advice!

I love Ania's! I see Donna and I absolutely love her. She does a great job with my hair and she is always fun to talk to. It is a warm, welcoming environment and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ania Hair Studio and Spa is the best salon to go to in the capital region. The staff and crew at the salon are wonderful and the owner is the nicest person you will ever meet. My haircuts are always top tier and I get the best service every time I go get a haircut. You always feel welcomed and leave feeling great.

I go to Ania's for my hair, my skincare, and all my products! I usually go to Vilma for my hair and Hailey for my facials! I always leave feeling so beautiful and confident. Everything is so reasonably priced and the atmosphere is so welcoming and enjoyable. I always look forward to my appointments!

Beautiful interior and private booths. Large enough to be a full service salon. The stylists seem up to date with all the current techniques. I was surprised and pleased to see they have a nicely secluded wig fitting area. The location is ideal with plenty available parking. Thier only down side is that they are a bit on the pricey side. Beauty never did come cheap.

DZENANA! I will NEVER see any other hair stylist than her again or visit any other salon. Ever had a day where you decide to bleach your hair at home and it goes horribly wrong? SHE WILL FIX IT. Ever dreamed of going platinum? She'll make it happen. She is always there for my emergency hair tips day or night, my horrible DIY mistakes, and everything in between.

She is the only person I'd ever trust with my hair again, and the only person I'd ever take beauty advice from. Also a wonderful human in general. Ania salon has the best stylists, a beautiful salon & the best products at a fair price. Don't waste your time anywhere else- trust me & you'll never regret it!

OMG I LOVE THIS SALON! if i could give it more than five stars I would! I started coming here a few years ago and never looked back! Dzenana took my bleach damaged hair and transformed it! Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming! The price is worth it!

Absolutely loved TJ my hair dresser. It was my first time here and she did an amazing job. My sister who was waiting in the car even said everyone she saw coming out was looking great. I'lol definitely be coming back! I live in Oneonta which is over an hour drive away but I don't mind the drive for quality work.

I will not go to any other salon, Angela is the best! She has cut, colored and styled my hair for over 10 years. This includes doing my hair for my wedding. She is professional, knowledgeable and personable. I have referred friends and family and they all go back again and again.

Shout out to Donna for making me feel so great about my hair! She really knows what's best for her clients! Takes her time with you to discuss what you want and adds her years of expertise to make you look and feel fabulous! Thank you, Donna! And to Raquel. I could so fall asleep when you wash my hair and massage my scalp! Truly the best I've experienced! To top it all off, you guys are so sweet and so real! Before starting the cut, I showed her a picture of what I wanted. While Jen did create a nice cut, I grew tired of saying yes shorter., here on top, here on the sides. And even at that, she still didn't cut as short as I asked for. In the end it wasn't what I asked for, but will look ok for maybe a week or two, when I'll need another cut. I think her cut was based on my previous length and did not really look at my picture. not sure if I will return. I did give a nice tip.

I walked in and politely asked that my hairdresser, Debbie, to wear a mask while cutting my hair and let her know that I have two young unvaccinated children at home. She adamantly refused and truly belittled and tried to make me feel dumb for asking her to mask up. Not only was she rude in regards to masking, she lost what could've been a lucrative client and provided the worst customer service imaginable. I am truly disgusted as to how I was treated. I don't care how good you are at your job, being rude and dismissive of a customer is not ok.

I absolutely Love Anias! Debi is such a welcoming and conscientious professional! She is the Best of the Best! She is thorough and Always caters to her clients needs! The Best in town! I highly recommend asking for her when booking an appointment you won't be disappointed

No where else I'd rather go! Debbi at Ania Hair Salon is top notch! It's more than just a haircut, it's an experience! She's so welcoming and friendly. Flexible and always makes sure she's on the same page about what needs to get done before pulling out her supplies. She'll snip off the perfect amount. I've had such horrible experiences with hair salons in the past but with Deb I can honestly tell her to do her own thing and she always leaves me impressed and speechless! Truly no one else I'd rather trust with my hair!

Vilma is my hair person and is excellent at just looking at my hair and knowing how to get the right color /highlights and styles it each time with the right combination of layering and style. So nice. She knows hair and color and I recommend her. You'll be in good hands.

Debi is an awesome stylist in general and is also a miracle worker when it comes to fixing bad hair cuts. I recently went to a different salon and had the worst pixie cut of my life - I work from home and I still felt like I needed to wear a hat. In under 45 minutes Debi transformed my lumpy and misshapen hairdo it into a great pixie cut. Debi listens to you and will give you exactly the haircut you want. She's also a very nice person and I always enjoy talking with her. I cannot recommend Debi or Ania Hair Salon highly enough. It's a great salon!

I have been going to Cheri Voss for many years, and she is still the best. Her cuts are really tailored to your hair type and face shape, her coloring skills are the best I've ever had. Her skills seem so effortless and she really makes you feel at ease!

Let me start off by saying that they are very accommodating! I called wanting a blow out (as I was in the area) and I had Rebecca helping me within 5 minutes of arriving. Rebecca was sweet and did what I wanted. Now just a little heads up for my curly haired girls. I wouldn't really consider my hair super curly/kinky, and honestly I used to get relaxers so I feel as though that semi-thinned out my hair (reference pic of my hair is added).

They added $15 on the normal charge of $40 for a wash and blow out due to my hair texture and apparent thickness. I'm not used to this extra charge, it may be normal to some, but not me. Again, nothing against Rebecca, but no more "on the whim" blow outs for me. I will have to stick to my regular salon/stylist who is better trained with my hair and will charge the base price of $40! (Prosperite Salon in Latham for anyone interested).

I've been searching for someone in the area who specializes in bob haircuts, when doing my research, I saw that Cheryl from Ania Hair Studio popped up. I called the salon the next day, spoke to the receptionist and was able to get an appointment later that week! I was so excited to get in as soon as possible. It was my first time at the salon, it was pretty, clean, and the staff was friendly.

As soon as I met Cheryl she made me feel comfortable and confident in my choice for choosing her to do my hair. I am happy with the result and I feel beautiful. Thank you so much Cheryl, I will definitely be back!

I'd love to say that this is one of the few businesses in Albany that is impressive but it isn't. They are a high-end salon with a low end demonstration of talent. I've been there twice, once for a simple blow out, which was flat and shapeless. Second time, I went for a single color and haircut. They have a Ouidad stylist for curly heads and they charge $100 for this "knowledge." Let me tell you, not worth the money!

The cut, nothing that I'd consider amazing and the way she styled it, horrifying. She put so much product in my hair I couldn't get my hands through my hair. I came home and redid my own hair, which really pissed me off since I spent $400 there! I lived in NYC for 20 yrs and never spent that kind of money. She clearly treats all curls the same by the way she styled my hair. Needless to say, I'm back to coloring my own hair and I guess I could just go to NYC for a haircut because I don't trust stylists here and they are all pretty expensive here and not worth the money.

I did reach out to them via email but they didn't respond so I went in. They did give me money back for 2 products which didn't work but the woman I spoke to didn't really care. I even sent them photos to show the difference btw what I left with and what I did. It was basically, "sorry you feel that way." Thanks. I'm sorry that you wake up everyday to be mediocre.

Ania Hair Studio gave me the most wonderful hair salon experience! The vibe of the studio is so relaxed and chic, I felt like I was on a mini vacation. Cheri gave me one of my favorite haircuts/color I've ever had. She listened to exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. Not only is it cute, but my hair was soft and shiny afterwards and didn't have the feeling of having too much product in my hair that I've had in the past. If you're looking to treat yourself to a relaxing salon day, this is the place to go. I can't wait to go back for a touch up!

Cheri is a true master and artist with hair! I am going grey and wanted to do it with style and flair, I had shown a photo of a silver/grey with purple highlights color job to several hairdressers but due to the level of difficulty no one wanted to try it (my hair is chestnut brown with 40% grey). Cheri shared my creative enthusiasm; not only did she create the photo, she did it in a way that complimented my style and skin tone without damaging my hair! Cheri. its absolutely gorgeous - THANK YOU :)

Fellow Curly Girls! Hear me out, go see Debi! I had a horrible experience years ago and still suffer from PTSD. I havn't had a real cut in over 5 years. My hair was so uneven from me cutting off a curl here and there when it didn't look right, I didn't expect to much. Debi gave me the most perfect cut I have ever had, I was so afraid to lose the length, she cut so perfectly that I didn't miss it when done!

My hair feels so good, the layers are perfect, I get a ton of compliments every single day. I am so pleased with the service at this salon, as mentioned Debi did and amazing cut, she knew exactly what to do and what not to do, do your self a favor if you want to make the most of your curls go see her!

I was so pleased with TJ Jeffers! She was stellar! Specifically, she is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate! Couldn't have had a better experience!

UPDATE- 11/20 I JUST got this haircut fixed. The stylist actually said "what the hell?" Rebecca cut ONE level of layers and then left about 75% of my hair my regular length. He was able to fix some of it and then get it into a more manageable shape. I don't know if anyone reads these reviews, but please learn from my mistakes. It has been a few months of wearing my hair up because I was too embarrassed after Rebecca's mess up. She does not know what she's doing. Please, please, please go somewhere else.

Had a great experience at the salon this past Saturday - I had a cut and color by Angela and I couldn't be happier with both. She asked what I wanted - gave her own recommendations and was thorough and professional.

Was looking for a good hair salon with good professionals to fix my cheap Bob haircut from at 70 year old Italian gentleman. Found this place on Google search and got excited because of all the good reviews. So I called, asked for someone who is good with short haircuts. I was welcomed by Melinda, very nice lady. She invited me into a room, I showed her few pictures of what I wanted the final result to look like.

She said no problem. She washed my hair, then did really nice cut. The problem is that once she started BLENDING of the hair, she just kept on chopping and chopping and chopping. I ended up with exactly what I didn't want to have, super short pieces of hair everywhere and practically lost most of my highlighted font locks of hair that we're adding freshness and brightness to my hair color.

Few days went by, I've tried multiple styling products, tried blow-drying my hair ( which is pretty impossible because pieces are so short). It's just so disappointing when you really really look forward to getting a nice haircut, spending good money on it, and in the end you REGRET it all. Just want to cry. Don't even want to look at myself in the mirror. So much for a beautiful haircut for my son's 1st bday party.

Debi is truly amazing. She understand thick curly hair and gave me the best ouidad haircut. I traveled over an hour because I could not find anyone near me to do it correctly. She also did a great job on my color. Debi was also super friendly and efficient. I would recommend her to anyone with any hair texture because she really understands hair.

Came in for Ombre/balayage few months ago, was told on the phone the price will be around $150. Ended up paying $350+ for the result that looked nothing like the picture I showed to the stylist there. The stylist was nice and kept the conversations going. The reason I decided to post this now is that I dyed my hair back to dark brown myself after 2 weeks and went to another salon today.

The salon I went to today took way less time than Ania did, and the result was SOOO MUCH BETTER! The best parts are: nobody washed off my eyebrows while washing my hair plus the price that place charged me was actually around $150! Also I feel like this place is a total rip off, I don't know why there were 3 different girls taking turns washing my hair.

Very inconsistent service. I had a great experience with extensions that corrected a bad haircut and helped me work toward the lighter hair I was trying to get back to. When I had the extensions taken out, my stylist used a black permanent hair color on my roots which ruined all of the color progress we had made. I'm now a drastic, harsh dark color with muddy weird highlights and it's embarrassing! I was asked by others if it was a home coloring mistake.

I had a dermaplane done with Gabby the esthetician there. She was very nice, fast and expedient, it was my first dermaplane so I didn't know what to expect. Fast forward, good past experience, I made an appointment for a dermabrasion. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Gabby is very nice but I like to enjoy my spa experiences, I barely laid down before I was up again.

I have never had spa work done so fast before and did not enjoy the experience at all and for that reason I will not go back. Its great if your in a hurry and like the speed.

Very clean and professional studio. Cheri is amazing with color! I came in with a full head of bad blonde, and she transformed it to a beautiful brunette ombre/balayage. She knew exactly what would go well with my skin tone and eye color. On top of that, she was so personable and friendly. This was my first time here, but I will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable as well for the service

This is the best hair salon in the upstate New York area. Unless you going to Manhattan you will never get type of professionalism. Cheri Voss is my stylist and colorist and I would go anywhere for her! I'm so grateful, not only for their standard of work, Sephora the kindness and friendliness of all the staff

First time back in two years. Ania's memory is anazing.she remembered me & assigned me to a master stylist. I have challenging hair -- fine and dense, like me lol! Cheri, my stylist was a pro, I've never had a non-mirror consult before. She understood what changes I wanted to make, articulated it back and then cut and styled it giving it lift and flexibility.

I needed product and mi e was discontinued but Ania found a suitable substitute. 4 instead of 5 stars because it took 7 minutes to be greeted, with no other customer at the counter. Also, I'm used to the stylists escorting customers to the counter for checkout & any last questions. Been going there off and on since 2006, plan to go back.

I love this salon. The front desk is friendly and eager to help. They look to accommodate you and respect your time. TJ is my stylist. I'm very picky and want a stylist who's educated and up to date, and that's TJ. She's also very interactive and consults with you before doing anything. She's easy to talk to. I'm very happy I found this place!

I booked an appt for color and trim; was quoted about $150 on the phone. During the hair styling I got the wrong color which had to be redone, and I asked her not to razor my hair and she said she had to, and I had to trust her. When done the bill came to $300 which I questioned. The stylist was livid and said she provided about $400 worth of services.

The manager stepped in and kindly agreed to honor the quote, would reimburse the stylist for the full amount ($400?) and she'd also coach the lady on the phone as it had happened before. While the manager is a total, total gem - I won't be back. My hair color looked great for about a week and the razor'd edges give me that split end look.

This past Saturday I had an incredibly positive experience at Ania. The stylist who did my hair was Rosa. Not only was she down to earth, but she was able to take a collection of photos I brought for reference- along with my own description of what type of style I was hoping for-- and she totally aced it. She made the style work for my hair and to top it off, gave me lots of helpful tips on how to maintain and style it day-to-day. Based on the time and care she took in completing my hairstyle, I am absolutely confident in recommending this stylist. I went from hair that was about just past my shoulders to a cute piecey pixie. I could not have been happier with the result. Truly ecstatic.

One of the best, cleanest, friendliest salons in the capital region. Every time I leave I feel like a new woman with my hair looking wonderful! Also the online booking is very convenient! All the staff members are willing to help each other with making sure every client leaves happy. All the stylists are are well educated on the latest trends in the hair coloring/styling world! Love this place and love the talented Maria who works here!

Services -- hair cut, color and waxing -- are (dangerously!) inconsistent. Go at your own risk. I went for many years. Had good haircuts and terrible haircuts. I switched stylists, upgrading over time after bad haircuts. I felt loyal to Ania even after eyebrow waxing removed a significant portion of my brow proper. Permanently. I told Ania and she did not want to hear it.

My mentioning it to the stylist who did that to me upset her, Ania said. Really?! How about me every time I look in the mirror and my eyebrow is. missing!? Several very bad experiences, including hours in the chair and neglect. I stopped going when Ania told me to leave. Seriously. Goodbye and good luck. Note 37 very bad reviews here "not currently recommended" by Yelp. Ania pays Yelp. Just sayin'
