I normally don't do this, but I have a STRONG suspicion that they refused to serve me because I am Black. I wanted a simple pedicure, the shop wasn't closing for another 45 minutes, and when I got in she told me sorry, we're closing early today. There were only white customers in there, and I believe that if I were white instead of Black, they would have served me too!

I've been going to polish and pour ever since I moved to Chicago. They have constantly been doing a wonderful job and are very friendly and consistent. Nails that last forever!

I called this salon early in the day to ask for a pedicure appointment at 4, which they confirmed with me on the phone. I got a text to come at 4:15, which didn't make a huge difference so I didn't call back and just showed up at 4:15. I stood at the front for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. A technician asked me if I wanted to pay, and I said no I had an appointment at 4:15.

She rolled her eyes and then asked me to sit and wait. I waited about 30 minutes until someone else came to let me know they would be with me soon. I finally sit at the pedicure chair, and am assigned a technician. A few people had come in as I sat down on the pedicure chair. The coordinator/manager told my technician to go help one of the customers that had just come in.

She said sorry and went to help them. 10 minutes later another technician comes to help me, and again is redirected to help another customer that walked in after me. I was in shock and honestly so frustrated, so I got up and left. I wasted almost over an hour of my time just sitting there waiting only to keep getting bypassed by people who were just coming in. So ridiculous and such a horrible experience. I live right down the street and even as convenient as it is to come here, there is absolutely no way I will be returning.

I had a dip manicure done here. This was one of the worst experiences I ever had at a nail salon. The technician was very rude after I asked her to change her gloves after she just finished giving a pedicure to someone else with the same gloves on. I also had an appointment and still waited 45 minutes. Service: Manicures

Would give 10 stars if I could! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They remember names and will always say hi even if they aren't your technician that day. All of them pay attention to detail and don't rush you through. All of them are amazing but have to give a shout-out to Narina! She always make my nails look amazing! Services: Pedicures, Gel manicure, Nail art, Manicures

My bff and I went in for manicures and did byob with prosecco. We had a great time. The salon is clean and inviting. Jack who took care of the register and pouring drinks was super nice and Lydia and Tina both did an awesome job on our manicures. We will be back.

This spot was my go-to for years when I lived down the street, and now that my wedding is coming up there is no where else I would go for my nails! Loving this special event look done by Lan in the photo. Miji and Katherine have always been wonderful to work with as well! We will be bringing our whole crew back the day before the big day for a girls' spa day complete with BYOB. Can't wait!

Ok job, super nice staff. They do have an issue with their no chip lights. I got a no chip but the lamp was not working properly, resulting in staying double the time for them to remove the non set no chip and reapply, which came out in total time there TWO AND A HALF HOURS. Came with a group and she was so slow to fix the no chip the group left. Will not be returning.

Came here a few times and have decided there are way better nail salons nearby. Pricing is OK. Like another reviewer said - price is high for the quality. If it was at a better level of quality/care/atmosphere, then it would make sense.

I just experienced the worst pedicure and manicure ever. The tech ran the pedicure water and it was cold. When I asked if she could make it hotter she seemed so offended. She warmed it but it wasn't anywhere close to the temperature preferred. The chair they put me in didn't have a working massager. After the pedicure was finished it looked like I painted my own nails.

No glossy clear coating. It looked so sloppy to me. Now my manicure! No soaking of the nails or anything! No real cleaning of the nail bed. It was the worst ever! She left me in the pedicure chair and began my manicure just standing up at the station and halfway committed to my service. My nails have bubbles in them and don't look glossy and pretty. Looks like I attempted to do my own nails and thats not a compliment to myself.

I literally looked up another nail salon while I was there. Why put me in a broken chair? Why not ask "miss what temperature do you prefer for your pedicure?". Why not escort me to a proper nail station to sit upright to get my nails done. Why not ensure my nails and feet look amazing? I still tipped the tech because I figured she could have had a busy day and seemed really tired. I wanted to justify the horrible service but I just can't! I wont be back ever again!

The owner was rude and I truly feel sorry for her employees. My lady was about 1/3 of the way into my pedicure and the owner walked up to her to tell her to go do another customers nails and asked if it was ok! No it's not ok she is doing my feet right now! The manager then said I will do it we not loosing customer because of her! Hello I am a customer!

A basic pedicure no massage or anything special, gel polish with a design, $73.00. Totally not worth it! I did leave my lady a 20.00 tip because I felt sorry for her. Her boss/ owner is a horrible person!

I used to frequent this place years (3+) ago when I lived around the corner on Lincoln Ave. I have since moved from the area but remembered getting my nails done there and the cool part being able to order a glass of wine and get my nails done. Long story short I went there today after making an appointment via phone and I was barely greeted. I was told by Oxana (probably misspelled) to just pick a color.

Which I did and sat down. I asked about the wine and wasn't told about the options just verbally said they have red wine and white and champagne(prosecco) I ordered the prosecco which was clearly flat from sitting in a opened bottle for a long time. I was reluctant to say anything but at $12 a glass mentioned if I could have a chilled glass from a new bottle.

I got some push back but she eventually gave me a different glass of prosecco from a unopened bottle. I was drinking my wine and getting a pedicure from Tina while I noticed another customer enter the nail salon. The difference of treatment/ service was night and day. She was asked if it was her first time there. Offered a glass of wine and a explanation of the wine selection.

This couldn't help but put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if it was a discriminatory issue (me being a person of color) or what the issue was but it definitely made me feel uncomfortable and slighted. I unfortunately will not return to this place again. The lack of & inconsistency of service isn't worth the $60 pedicure (including cost of wine)

I've been coming here for 4 years and this is my favorite mani/pedi spot in the city! The techs always do a fantastic job and truly pay attention to detail, especially on the manicures. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great social distancing practices in place, too!

Terrible experience. They will try to change what service you want so you have to pay more. The woman who was doing my nails was learning on the job. Very unprofessional. Don't waste your money here.

This is my favorite nail place in the city! It's cute and modern inside, they serve drinks and always have Sex and the City playing on the TVs. I've always been able to walk in and not have a long wait. They staff is really good and always check that you like your color, the shape, and that the towel and water temperatures are good for you.

This is by far the best nail salon in the city and a staple of Wells Street in Old Town (they do have other locations). Not only are the technicians polite they are also very talented. I've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. There's a full bar in the event you want a drink to go with your mani/pedi and great massage chairs.

You can expect the show Sex and the City on TV and popular music on the speakers. They respect if you want to be quiet or if you want to talk their ears off. The owner is extremely attentive and will remember a familiar face as well. You can expect a clean, friendly environment with any nail color of your choice available. From one manicure/ pedicure fan to another - you are doing yourself a disservice by not coming here. Check it out - you won't be disappointed. A+++ 5 stars keep up the great work!

I took my Fiancee here for his first pedicure for Valentine's Day and we had a great time. The manager and all the nail technicians were super kind and gave us excellent service. We ended up having the wait about 30 minutes because the weather was pretty bad which delayed a lot of appointments. But the manager was super apologetic and thanked us for our patience and offered us some free champagne. 10/10 experience, we will be going back for another date night soon!

I will say if you want your nails to look good then yes go here. I have no complaints about the end results of my service. The service itself isn't worth the price I could easily go somewhere else get a better service, and the same end results. It was very rushed from check-in until leaving, and I mean rushed to the point where I ended up with multiple cuts and bleed from the techs service.

I gave this place three separate chances with three different techs. All three times the end results as I said were fine, but the service was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere to be pampered for your self-care days, but if you just need a quick nail service not the worst option in this area.

This place was so disappointing, it was obvious why I was the only customer there for two hours. This was one of the most messy and horrific manicure and pedicures I've ever had, I did a no chip which I have been for years and I've never seen something so poorly done with no effort to fix the mistakes. I would never come back here, beyond unacceptable work.

I started coming here to get my toes done. Which they do a wonderful job on, and I highly recommend pedicures. Do not recommend for a full set. They charged me $90 for length and shape. However, after showing her a picture she failed to give me the coffin shape, and my nails are different lengths on both hands. Pictures are what I showed her (pink) and what I received (red).

My technician was nice although my feet were rougher after the pedicure. However the main reason I won't come back is because the surprise upcharge! Unbeknownst to me I selected extended wear polish (different from no chip) and had to pay an additional $7. The receptionist was there when i checked in and when I grabbed it and at not point did she say anything to me nor was there anything to indicate that this slow drying polish was any different than regular nail polish.

Let me start by saying, I LOVE the staff at the other Polish & Pour location in Streeterville. That location has excellent staff, clean and friendly, and truly excellent management (Sunhee is the best) on site. It's been my go-to for years. With having not had my nails done for 3 months, I was beyond excited to have a nail appointment today. However, I made the mistake of going to the Old Town location today. It's the 1st day it's reopened since COVID shut it down. Based on what I previously read on their IG page, necessary precautions were being taken to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

All techs as well as all guests were wearing masks. My nail tech was Liliya. Despite all of the other nail techs wearing gloves, Liliya decided to take her gloves off halfway through my pedicure. I told her I am pregnant and asked if she could please put her gloves back on. At which point she snapped at me and said "Its been TERRIBLE to work with gloves and a mask on" and how her glasses keep fogging up.

And that I have no clue just how bad it was. And which point I told her that "fogged up glasses are better than catching COVID." I also let her know if that if she's not willing to wear gloves, I was more than willing to wait until another tech was free to take over. (Again, all of the other nail techs were wearing gloves). She then proceeded to ask me "If you're pregnant, what are you even doing out of the house?" I couldn't believe the words coming out of her mouth.

When she then asked why I wasn't wearing gloves, I explained to her that I can't wear gloves if I'm about to get a manicure. I told her again if she wasn't comfortable working with gloves, I could wait for someone else. She put on gloves and finished my appointment. The icing on the cake: she was clearly mad at me so she did a sub-par job on my nails.

I am in complete shock at the lack of responsibility she showed and what she said to me. All other techs seemed to be doing a fabulous job and following the new health rules put into place.

Today was a good day to pamper myself and get a manicure and pedicure, (currently on sale through Groupon). Thanks to the staff and my nail artist Oksana for a very good job. This is my first time at this location and this place is large, clean, and has a bar with Sex and the City playing in the background. The massage chairs are very comfortable and everyone was very kind. I would definitely come back, and would recommend Polish & Pour based on my experiences today.

We went here for a bachelorette party. I was disappointed with how long the wait was even though we had a reservation. Also, it was incredibly expensive. They charged $15 to stick your nails under a UV light. If I had known I wouldn't have done that but they did not tell you. They charged $90 for French tip acrylics. I usually pay less than $50. Ridiculous pricing

I flew in from Hawaii for my cousin's bachelorette party here this past weekend and it was a blast! The place was very clean and everyone was so nice. I got a pedicure, and my technician Melissa did an awesome job! Sorry my feet were so rough, I've been lazier than I should be about that haha! Admittedly I hate to chat because I feel awkwa but Melissa was great at getting me to relax and let lose a bit, keeping my glass full definitely helped!

Her stories about her adorable mini-hers were too funny! I any not have kids but I could share about the equaly goofy stuff my derpy cat does. She was a great facilitator of fun! I really enjoyed myself and needed this LONG overdue pampering! Next time I'm back home, I'm coming to Melissa, sorry Nail Spa Skin, you've FINALLY been replaced, woot!

I can only hope I find someone as good as her back in Hawaii. For the record, stubbed my toe and the pedi is still beautiful! 6th star for a pedi that survives a clutz! If you are having a bachelorette party or just a day out with the gals, I would highly recommend coming here! Oh and me being picky with be bathrooms-super clean with space to move around of you get tipsy xD

I was invited by a few coworkers for our Friday night outing. I'm a dude, not to mention a committed runner, so getting regular pedicures weren't on my list of to-dos. But my gal, Melissa really did hook me up with some brand new feet! Told her from the jump that I wanted nails that match my skin, since both my (runners) toes were practically black (no judgements please lol).

I jokingly said that first, but decided, why not? Let's see how this goes! First, I wasn't sure if it seemed odd for me to ask for a color, but Melissa not only helped me choose the perfect one, she didn't even question my preference. Our experience was pretty darn awesome in my book. Oh, and the massage chairs are to die for. I could've sat there for another hour if they let me

Putting it out there, guys. I got my very FIRST manicure this past weekend.and it was awesome! I went to Polish & Pour for a bachelorette party (yasss gurrrl, you heard me right) for my bff. Melissa, my nail lady, was ahhh-mazing! She explained each step of the manicure, and my nails have never shined so bright. Even though the place was jam packed, Melissa made sure I was well taken care of.

As a matter of fact, she made sure ALL of us were taken care of. There were times when Melissa had to pause my manicure to help someone else out, but I didn't mind at all, since I had my drank in hand. This place does have a full bar (excellent concept btw), but for $10 I was able to bring my own bottle of hard stuff and make my own. We all left feeling way more lovely than we should have. I would definitely recommend and will be back again!

I've been here a number of times and am pleased with my experience every time. Polish & Pour always affords me a great escape from my busy life. The cocktails are generous and I love that Sex & the City plays silently on the screens. It makes for a relaxing time. I prefer to go during the week because it's typically less rushed. I've only been once on a Saturday, for my best friend's bachelorette party.

We had 4 mani/pedi reservations, and a large bridal party was scheduled right behind us. It was rushed and less pleasant than my other trips here on weekdays. I think the business could do better about scheduling before a large party. I was in a bind and couldn't get to my regular place for a wax and took a chance here. The service was great! I'm too loyal to my regular spot, but I'd return here for waxes when it's more convenient for me. My overall experience here is positive and relaxing. My regular manicure and pedicure here always lasts long.

I don't normally post but today I post because I'm very, very disappointed and upset. And, I'm finally ready to say something. I did NOT receive the star treatment that this business advertises. It was NO fault of my nail technician. It was driven by management because of their focus on money and not quality service. My nail technician was made to rush today by the manager, Miji, and even received a phone call by the owner to rush my service because they had a party coming in.

This created stress for the nail technician and an unpleasant experience for me. My appointment was scheduled in advance prior to the party and the nail technician was still working within the timeframe established for my services. BUT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. I simply don't understand. I go every week to this establishment and spend good money every week.

This business is priced higher than other similar businesses. I deserve the best service like everyone else. I work in Client Service so I understand the importance of placing your clients first beyond anything else. I don't believe this business holds the same beliefs. Unfortunately, I will continue to go to this business but it's for one reason and one reason only: Liliya.

I have been going to Liliya for over 15 years. I followed Liliya to Polish and Pour when she started there two years ago and I will follow Liliya wherever she goes next. Liliya exemplifies what it means to provide the best customer service. I consider Liliya a friend and an incredible person. Thank you Liliya for being the best in your profession! If you go to this business, request Liliya!
