I came for my first appointment today and no one was there. After calling the owner let me know in a cold and unapologetic voice that she just called to cancel. When I checked my messages there was only a confrontation no cancelation what so ever. I would not go back.

This was my first time for waxing and Meli was really great. She is a master of helping you feel comfortable and relaxed. She even helps with relaxation breathing technics. Her disposition is professional and her work is quick with very little discomfort. Totally doable. Absolutely painless? No, but did it "hurt?" No, not at all. The entire process was much easier and more comfortable than I ever imagined.

I nearly fell asleep at one point. It was that relaxing. The fear of waxing is psychological. Even on the tender bits, it was nothing. Trust Meli to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and smooth.

I went to see Meli for the first time yesterday, she was able to fit me in last minute (I am a terrible planner and leaving for vacation Sunday--waxmergency). It was the best waxing experience I have ever had! From the sweet and cozy waiting room, to her encouraging relaxation and breathing exercises, her humor and her amazing technique (definitely the least painful wax I've ever had)--she was awesome. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing service! Had received horrible Brazilian wax before at another location and I was very hesitant to actually try one ever again. This spa is amazing. It's cozy, always clean, warm, and relaxing. The best part about this spa is the owner, Meli. She is absolutely amazing! She makes me feel so comfortable, shes incredibly professional, and always checks in to make sure her and I are on the same page in regards to what I want and the price I'm paying. She is the best waxer I've ever had and is very perceptive in regards to any discrepancies. GO SEE MELI. The other great thing about this spa is the My Time service, which is an online booking platform that takes a minute to complete and lists all available times.

Made a last minute appointment for a Brazilian and Meli was super nice and accommodating! She is amazing and made me feel truly at ease. I recommend her and Argania 100%! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Berkeley.

I've been seeing Meli for a while now, she's amazing! Ok, truth be told- I've been an Esthetician for 6 years (really hard to wax your own legs and try giving yourself a nice relaxing facial, impossible) What I'm saying here is that I trust her completely with my own skin care needs. Make the appointment, go see her, you'll be happy you did.

Melissa is an incredibly warm soul who takes great pride in her work. I went in for a full leg wax and she made sure I was comfortable and at ease. I can safely say it was relaxing and enjoyable! Melissa is amazing! She's very meticulous and quick with her waxing services. It felt practically painless. She's a sweetheart. She's very patient and gives great advice about skin maintenance. Made an appointment with Meli after reading reviews on Yelp. Overall the experience was very nice and relaxing. At the beginning of my visit Meli had me fill out a sheet with my information. I was expecting her to ask about my skin routine at home / what I expected from the facial. We did not go over what I would like to see and what my concerns were.

I wish I would've been explained what the facial process was going to be as well as what services I was paying for. After getting home I went back online and realized that I could not match the facial that I payed for to the ones available online. The entire time Meli did not explain what products she was applying to my face nor what she was doing.

In truth I would not even know what facial I received. If it weren't for the lack of explanation I would give this place 4 starts. Meli though, was very gentle and very nice. She's very easy to talk to!

Scheduled a 10am appointment a week in advance. Arrived at 10am and the door was locked. I waited outside for 15 minutes and left a message for the salon but received no response. I received a call a couple of hours later from the salon and it seems there was a glitch in their booking system. The woman I spoke to was very apologetic and offered me a discount on a future service.

I love Meli! I followed her here from European Wax Center in Alameda. Prices are more expensive than EWC, but you can get more attention here (i.e. better removal of ingrowns) since they aren't trying to push people through like at EWC. I also got a facial, and it was super relaxing. I recommend you try this place out. You'll love Meli! She's so easy to talk to.

I've been going to Argania Salon for over a year now for waxing, and have specifically requested Anita each time. I always feel comfortable, welcomed, and thoroughly hair-free by the end of every appointment. I never have to worry about any incomplete or unfinished areas, as she is a perfectionist in her craft. In addition to being a superior aesthetician, she is very amicable and capable of holding an engaging conversion (if desired) for the entire length of the appointment.

She has such a great spirit and energy; and I am very thankful to have her. I assure you, as a man (and I suppose as any gender), waxing is not one of my favorite pastimes. But with Anita, it's like visiting a friend for a period of time, where I happen to leave smooth as a baby's bottom. Worthy of more than 5 stars.

After doing a yelp search and researching for good places for a bikini wax, I settled on Argania because of 1) the convenient location, 2) reasonable prices, and 3) the reviews. The location was kind of a hole-in-the-wall, but the inside is very cozy and relaxing. Miriam was wonderful. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted as a first timer and she was patient enough to spend time with me explaining each option.

She was even nice enough to squeeze me in on her afternoon off so that I wouldn't have to wait until next week to get a wax. The wax itself was not as painful as I though it would be. I am not surprised; Miriam is gentle and fast at what she does, plus she talked me through it. (I learned - breathing is key!) Will definitely come here for any future work, and bring my friends!
