Cali Nails

First, BAO is amazing. He's worth 5 stars himself. If you're able to come in and ask for Bao for a pedicure, I highly recommend him. He was gentle and also really good at making sure I was comfortable and my toe nail beds were clean. He was SO SO friendly and super sweet and worth the visit, to be perfectly honest. Otherwise, the service was a bit slow.

When I got in I stood there while two people walked to the front desk and essentially ignored me. I finally had someone greet me and I let them know I was waiting for my friend who was getting a facial there (not sure about their experience, but the aesthetician seemed nice) I would say - worth it for a pedicure, I got the Milk & Honey and it was $46 - but I would say only if you went to Bao. They also don't really do appointments - seems primarily walk in unless there are multiple people and services you're doing.

I just had an express pedi. Terrible experience. The pedi chair was filthy. He was very rough and almost cut me with the file twice. I asked him to be gentle and he rolled his eyes and acted like he couldn't understand me. I had to ask to get my nails trimmed on the second foot. He was very irritated before he even got to me. I do not recommend this place at all.

They are always so rushed and are not worried about quality, rather quantity. I gave them a second chance, lesson learned I guess. They try to up charge you on everything, then get mad when you say no (Unfortunately typical though). My pedicure was mediocre, but my manicure was the worst I've had. When did they stop doing cuticles, massage and oil?

I sat down, immediately it was file and started to do the base for dip polish. Finished the last layer and tells me to wash hands and meet up front. The pictures speak for themselves. I was never asked for shape (I had medium length nails before he cut them all short), so much excess it looked absolutely horrible. I went to pay and asked him if he was done and it was clear he was when he told me the total.

After I told him that it was a horrible service and showed him, he brought over a bottle of cuticle oil (because he never did that during the actual service) and POURED it into my hands at the counter. I'm so bummed, it was a time for me, my daughter and mom for Mother's Day & we all unfortunately had something not go well during the service. Cali Spa is not what it used to be.

Cali is still our go to spa but they need housekeeping! So much clutter and looks unprofessional and the smell of food is not relaxing!

I have been going to Cali Spa for years and normally have a great experience. The last few appointments have been below average and today was a tipping point. I received a set of dip nails and my technician didn't fully polish them with shellac, leaving exposed dip powder. I only received one coat of shellac (if you even want to consider it as a full coat).

My technician, Jimmy, would not fix my nail after nicely asking him three separate times. He was not kind about it either, he just wanted to push me out the door. I am looking for recommendations for a new nail salon on the North side, if any other Yelp users have a good recommendations, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I used to like going here but not much anymore, my husband went here last week to get just a regular pedicure and the lady over charged him. He told her the regular for $32 then when he went to pay she said it was $58 and he didn't get anything special for that price. I went here yesterday and got a lavender pedi which is 50 and then a regular manicure which was supposed to be 25, instead I got charged 102. and the guy ripped of my under skin from my nail and I noticed when I left he broke the side of my nail

Nails were misshapen and not even close to what I asked for. Really disappointed for $58 BEFORE TIP.

I really wanted to buy 4 spa experiences for my wife, daughters and granddaughter. However it was not possible to order a package online. So, I figured I could call and order over the phone. Nope. Person who answered the phone was abrupt and not helpful at all. Left a bad taste in my mouth so I opted to get them elsewhere. Turns out I ended up getting more for less money.

Terribly rude! The guy tried to tell us the most popular pedicure was $90 and when we opted for the $45 he was extremely rude after that. He tried to hide the less expensive options from us. This is the second time I've been there and both times rude.

If you're ever in Fort Wayne, Cali Spa is a must. Bao was the BEST. 10/10 would recommend Bao for all your nail needs

This is my go-to nail salon these days. If cleanliness, quality and consistency are important to you then this is your place. Kenny did my nails and I was impressed by his attention to detail. He actually got out the tiny design brush to ensure the lines on my french tips were perfectly straight. I tend to go to the same couple of nail techs and can trust in the finished product. Twan does a really fantastic pedi that cam ladt 4 weeks.

I will admit that the prices are a bit on the high side. My acrylic fill with designs and shellac was about $69. They don't do regular polish on nails anymore. My peppermint and eucalyptus shellac pedicure was $62.

EDIT- it's not been 24 hours and one of my nails broke, I came in for them to hopefully fix it for free and the manager said "we don't have mail warranty's" and wants me to pay to get it fixed. Two times in a row I've went in there and checked their prices, had a set total in my head just to get to the register and it be wayyy more then it should be.

The nail techs add in so many ridiculous extra charges and fees. Went for a fill, with one nail replacement & one solid color on both hands (gel as well) (already had coffin when I came in) they tried to charge me $56 for a fill. The owner And or manager came up and told me my nail tech charged me for stuff he shouldn't have. But they only took $18 off.

So for me to get a pedi w/ gel, fill with gel, & my two year old to get a kiddi pedi and nails painted with gel they tried to charge me a total of $158. Didn't leave a tip and won't be back!

So this is my second time ever being there. First time i didn't wait and it was mediocre!. Second time Kenny a male nail tech did my nails. He was rude and very unappreciative. Even though i still tipped him (20) the service was bad. Three days later two nails broke off. I went back in and he blamed me for the broken nails! Basically was yelling at me.

He was saying i was trying to make him look bad! I told him he was making feel small for something he did. With that being said I'll never go back! Reason why i went because Queen nails were super busy. I'll never give them my service and black ppl don't even go! I'm so serious! Rude and unprofessional

Just left and while my basic shellac pedi was fine, my shellac manicure on my natural nails took an hour I asked for no length to be taken off as my nails were just getting past the end of my fingertip and I had shaped them pretty square the way I wanted and I said to keep them very square he proceeded to continue to file them down shorter til I had no length left and they are all different lengths and rounded corners! He was meticulous but did not listen and now I had no length left! Defeated I now am starting over on my length.

Cali Spa does a terrible job at putting the customer first. My pedicure was very sloppy. I asked the girl to clean it up a little and she barely wiped away one smudge. After I got home I inspected the nail polish and saw that it was horrible! I called and asked if I could come back in and they said sure. By the time I came back in the polish was completely gone from my pinky nail. Once I checked in the hostess said I'd have to wait for 7 people ahead of me. Very poor customer service! I won't be coming back!

The only reason I come back is because of Kenny. He does an amazing job at hand painting the "marble" look onto my nails. The place is very over priced. Each time I come I spend close to $90. just not worth it unless I'm wanting marble I always feel rushed, never relaxed like a spa should be when coming here. I've had a few awful pedicures where they rush to get you done and don't care about following the steps of a normal pedicure. The front desk receptionists have been rude multiple times. I'm glad other nail places are opening up near me.

Really disappointed in this place! I got a manicure for a wedding that I'm in-which was fine, the place seemed very clean and high class. Unfortunately, my manicure started to chip the same day I got it, just a few hours later! Then, just 2 days later- the day of the wedding- this is what my manicure looked like. The cleanliness and experience really doesn't matter when it costs $17+ tip to get my nails painted when I could've bought a $5 bottle of nail polish and done it myself and it probably would've stayed longer. I won't be going back.

Beautiful and clean establishment! They have tons of chairs and room to cater to many clients. They have facials, massages, pedis nails etc. We went for pedicures and i was disappointed with the way they shaped and painted my nails. It looked like a teenager did them. I didnt find the staff to be very friendly, but they DO serve wine so maybe that would've helped.
