I've been trying to find a place to get highlights and a cut for so long. Every place I go ends up cutting way more off then what I ask for. But this place is AMAZING. I got my hair done with Cheryl and I will NEVER go anywhere else. It looks so natural and she did exactly what I asked. I love this place.

Just move to Ellicott City and needed to find a new beauty salon. I lucked out but going through Groupon and happen to notice this place. Great deal BTW. Although I made an appointment for what I purchased I had brought in a picture of a few color ideas which would require more time and colors. She was able to squeeze me and added the difference. Very please. Hopefully this will be my home.

My tech was professional, friendly, and efficient. No wasted time, and I got my money's worth.

Katie recently became a stylist here. I've been following her for years and followed her to this place. Katie is wonderful. She gives a fantastic shampoo that feels more like a massage and then takes her time to give you a great haircut, including additional touch ups after she blow dries and styles your hair. I purchased a Groupon for a deep conditioning treatment, cut, and blow dry. My appointment was with Kelly and she was great! I went in with the intention of just getting a basic trim, but she suggested some face framing layers and cleaned up my ends - they definitely needed it! Kelly checked with me twice to be sure I was ok with the amount she was cutting, which I really appreciated. Kelly also suggested some ways to style and gave a couple other tips, but was not at all pushy about products or additional services. I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

This was my first time at Image Hair Studio. Place is nice and comfortable. Kelli was awesome and super patient with me. I wasnt sure what exactly i was looking for; however, Kelli did an awesome job helping me brainstorm ideas. I have extremely dark hair and she did an awesome job lightning it. I still have another session before my hair is exactly the way i want it. Kelli's customer service was the highlight of my visit. Great Job Kelli. You are awesome and make such a great contribution to Image Hair Studios.

I was in need of a new hair stylist and wound up at Image 6 years ago via a friends recommendation. I don't let anyone but Cheryl cut my hair now

I don't know where to start. Kristen was my stylist. She was very nice but gave me the worst haircut I've ever had. to a point where I almost want to cry every time I look in the mirror. I asked her for a TRIM. 1-2" off. Plus layers. She cut off about 6". And my layers are so sloppy and uneven. So disappointed and heart broken right now.

Cheryl is the best! I first came to see her when I had done a terrible job of dying my own hair and she rescued it. Ever since that day, she has been my stylist and she's fantastic. She'll never try to sell you a service that isn't right for you or too expensive and, if you ask for one that is not a good idea for your hair, she'll tell you why you shouldn't do it even though it make her more money. She's all about making sure you leave the salon looking and feeling great. She honestly loves making people look their best.

The beautiful studio is only surpassed by the wonderful stylists! The studio has been recently renovated. It is very elegant! Whenever I go, I always leave with fabulous hair thanks to Lori.

I bought a groupon for partial highlights and that women gave my brassy looking highlights when i asked for brown and i can see three different colors in my hair. When i asked her to fix it she said she will charge me $20 for fixing. They are ao rude and unprofessional.

Parking is crazy here! But I like my stylist and have followed her for years, so here I am. It's not in a good location for ease of getting in/out of the lot either.

Sheena is amazing! She is adorable, hip, and super pleasant. The place itself does not look terribly impressive from the outside strip mall exterior, but inside is sunlit with lots of warm wood. The space is open and inviting. I got a haircut and style from Sheena with my Groupon. She spiced up my grown out bob with a little extra length in the front and light, bouncy layers.

It looks awesome. I got 3 compliments the first day. I am a professional mother of three, so it was just enough funk to make me feel like a hip mom while maintaining a professionally appropriate style. Just right.

Finding a new hair stylist can be nerve racking! Sheena was recommended to me when I decided to find someone new, so I gave her a shot. The way she listened to me thoroughly and asked me questions is a direct result of experience. She is def not your average stylist- she is confident but at the same time, humble. Sheena did a beautiful job giving me a bob with stacked layers in the back and dirty blond hair.

My hair cut is remarkabley symmetrical! My hair tends to pull golden tones when lightened. She did a magnificent job at combatting the red/yellow/orange(warm) tones and pulled off a cool, ashy blond, multi dimensional color that I asked for. I knew when she dried my hair, THEN grabbed the shears to add texture and thin out my thick hair- that I had found my new girl! It looks fabulous! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new, skilled hair stylist.

Used the groupon as well, got a haircut with Erica, it was great, fast and accurate. I still like it two weeks later. Thanks!

Went to Kristen today for a color and a haircut. She did not spend any time asking me what I wanted but instead went back and started mixing colors (did not show me swatches or match my color or anything). Result: my roots are amber brown and the rest of my hair is black. Looks bad and will fade. She also did not want to discuss what type of cut I wanted.

I asked her if she had any ideas for a new style. She didn't and just told me what she was planning on doing. When I told her what I wanted she just got upset. I left looking like Liza Minelli and it looks terrible. I won't go back. Really prefer more experienced and communicative stylists. Could have spent half as much and gotten better results.

Got here for my appointment 10 minutes early. No one at the desk. A person comes over, checks my appointment and says she'll need my Groupon. I wait. Standing at the counter. 10 more minutes go by and no one offers me a seat to sit or anything even though there are couches on the other side of the room. Finally, Kristen comes over. She was super nice, took my Groupon and started right away.

She colored my hair perfectly and I almost forgot how nice it is to have someone wash your hair, lol. Everything came out great! The only reason this review is a 5 star is because of Kristen, not the initial last who talked to me and didn't offer me to sit down.

I called because i had some questions about what services would fall under the groupon. I talked to Erica on the phone and she was extremely rude. I had a legitimate questions and I was having a hard time understanding certain things and you could tell how tired she was of my questions and how she thought I was stupid for not understanding. I felt like I was not worthy their time because I had purchased a groupon. I wanted to support a local business, however I will go elsewhere. they will not get my business with costumer services like that.

I love Image Hair Studio. The stylist are very thoughtful and kind and do a wonderful job. Kristin did my hair and did a FABULOUS job. I would highly recommend her. She is very professional and is extremely knowledgeable. People compliment me on my hair all the time. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend this salon.

Here was my experience- I will start off by stating that I never even received a hair cut. The employees were so rude I left before they even touched my hair. When I stopped by to check in at the front desk 10 minutes early, I was ignored by a woman on the phone for about 7 minutes. She was chatting with what I assumed was a friend, about Facebook photos and new guys they were dating versus the last guy, etc. Finally, a sweet younger lady with blonde hair came over to see if she could help me, and she did.

She showed me to the waiting area and told me it would be just a few minutes. My hairstylist was "finishing up" with a client. But she was just chatting with another co worker. I was sitting right across from her- and she continued to chat for another 20 minutes past my appointment time. She finally acknowledged me, and brought me over to a chair and station still completely covered in hair.

I work in customer service, I try not to be bother, so I let that go as well. We started to chat about what I wanted to do with my hair, and then I took it down from my ponytail, and she mentioned the $20 "long hair fee". My hair only comes down past my shoulders maybe an inch? She explained to me that the charge is to compensate her for her time.

And that was the final straw for me. No one asked me about the length of my hair when I made the appointment- so where is this extra time being scheduled? Was the length of the appointment different, and if so, how did they know if they didn't ask. Additionally, how do you know then when to schedule you next appointment, and the one after that, etc?

How does your day not become a mess of tardy appointments from that point on, then!? I don't buy it, she certainly had little regard for my time, starting my appointment 20 minutes late all on her own. The cherry on top was her snobby comment at the end, when I said I had never encountered this kind of fee. She replied "It's what all professional salons do, so you probably don't encounter it at the cheaper places". I took my stuff and left.

Got a haircut and partial highlights here last year with a groupon. They automatically charged me an extra $20 because I had hair that was shoulder length. For that reason, I won't be going back, even though the location is actually very convenient for me.

I bought a groupon to use for a haircut, style, and deep conditioning. They were super nice when I went in and took my right back. The girl shampooing seemed nervous, or anxious maybe, however did a fine job, even though I did get a little wet. I don't know what they consider to be "deep conditioning", but in my experience it has been a sit on your hair for a while the wash out experience.

That was NOT what happened.but I didn't think of it at the time. My hair stylist was very nice and did exactly what I asked (just a trim). She was very quick and didn't spend time asking if length was okay, how much shorter, etc. She seemed to assume she knew what she was doing (I had never been to her before.) That being said, it was a fine haircut. Honestly, I wouldn't do it again just because I paid 27 for the groupon, then 20 extra for my length.

I was only in the salon for MAYBE a half hour, and got a hair cut that I could have paid 20 bucks for at a chain store. Nothing fantastic, nothing bad, and my own fault I guess.

I was given a Groupon for this place by my cousin, and had high hopes after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed! I got Sheena, and she was fantastic! She gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. She was very methodical and thorough with the cut and styling, and made sure I got what I wanted. All of the staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is welcoming and stylish. I've found my hairdo go-to.

Friendly service. Was talked into (selling strategy to make more) more service then needed.can't even tell and my haircut was uneven.butchered actually. I called but never got a return call. Looked like a first day student cut

I've been getting my hair done by Cheryl for years and she does an exceptional job on both cut and color. My daughters also go and have always had a wonderful experience. I read the other review and have to say that I kinda miss Art greeting me at the door! He was always very sweet and gracious.
