Steve is great! Listens to what I am describing and checks in while cutting my hair to make sure it's how I want it. Nice, clean salon in a cute part of town.

Wonderful experience all the way around. Most recent visits were a 60th bday party for me and a wonderful 50th Anniversary dinner for Stella and Harvey. Great times! Service was very good, food was great as well.

I'm very particular about my haircuts and even more so about my highlights. So much so that when I first moved to Willow Glen from SF I would drive to the city to get my hair done - Until I was referred to Steve by a friend who seemed to always have the best cut. Not cookie-cutter like every other cut, but a little edgey but flattering and feminine.

It's been 12 years now of people asking where I get my hair done and without reservation I send them to Steve at Gloss! In fact, for convenience I just carry a stack of his business cards in my purse now because I get stopped so often.

Gloss is a hidden gem in the heart of Downtown Willow Glen. Not only does the interior look fabulous, but it is run by a great duo, Carolyn and Steve. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into their work. You won't regret coming here!

Without a doubt, Gloss is the best salon in San Jose. Steve and Carolyn are great - Steve cuts my hair and Carolyn cuts my wife's. Not only do they do a fantastic job at a reasonable price, but they are extremely nice and genuine people. I have never had a problem with them and enjoy every moment I spend in there! If you're looking for a salon, or even if you have one already, you should make an appointment at Gloss and give them a try. I'm sure you'll be as happy with them as I am.

Gloss was first recommended to me by one of their long time clients, and I haven't looked back since my first cut with Carolyn. I went in with high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. Without giving too much detail, I described to Carolyn what I was looking to do with my hair and she went to work creating the perfect layers. As someone that takes little to no time styling her hair in the morning I needed a cut that would frame my face with little effort, but that could also be styled for special occasions. Carolyn not only always achieves this, but she also knows just how much I need to trim to keep my hair long, but healthy.

I look forward to going to Gloss not only because I know that I'm in good hands, but also because Carolyn and Steve (owners and stylists) are always kind, welcoming, and never fussy about selling hair products. Carolyn never makes me feel guilty when I fail to make regular appointments and she always seems to find a way to fit me in. The atmosphere and decor is simple yet chic, and there is never an issue parking on the side of the building. I've been seeing Steve Reynolds for a little over a year and couldn't be happier. Steve is a master stylist & colorist. I've done long hair and short hair, and have never received so many compliments on cut and color.

I'm a bit of a peroxide nut, but Steve always makes sure that my blonde highlights look fresh, beautifully toned and on trend. I also get to watch Carolyn Parise on a regular basis, and she's definitely one of those sought-after hair whisperers. Her colors and cuts are glam-tastic without ever feeling overdone or unnatural. You simply can't miss. P.S. Gloss carries products by Davines, an ah-mazing line that fuses excellent ingredients with some serious salon-quality intelligence.

Gloss is one of my "happy places" I go there to get my hair done, but it's much more than that. At Gloss I not only feel pampered and special, but I also feel like I'm coming home to visit family. I have been going to Carolyn for about 3 plus years now and she's a not only one of the sweetest people I know, but she's very professional and a skilled artist.

I have very wavy hair, she has always known how to give me the best layered cut for my hair which allows me to blow it out straight or wear it curly. I initially went it for highlights and cut and Carolyn recommended doing a straight color and it has always turned out beautifuly, rich chocolate/dark auburn color that is shiney and looks natural for my olive complexion. I totally trust Carolyn with my hair and highly recommend Gloss Beauty Lounge!

Happiness found! I've been a client at Gloss Beauty Lounge for five + years now, and just love my personal stylist Carolyn. She does a fantastic job on my wild locks and I aways leave feeling like a pampered princess. What I like most is that I never feel pressured to do anything more than I feel comfortable with.you know how pushy some stylists can be.

It's also a plus that they use eco-friendly hair products, which is a must for me! As for the ambience, it is modern and fresh, with a lovely quaintness. I definitely look forward to my appointment every month!

I LOVE Gloss. The Willow Glen location is excellent for me (center of town) and there is plenty of free parking available. The owners, Carolyn and Steve, are highly skilled and informed designers and colorists. Gloss is everything that you'd want in a salon; nice people, great haircuts, gorgeous color and good conversation. The salon is clean, modern and all-in-all, just generally has a good vibe. Gloss Beauty Lounge is the best beauty salon in San Jose. I've been to many, but plan on staying with Gloss.
