Hair We Are

This is the third time I have had my hair done at your salon. This first time I didn't really like it but I take the blame on that because I tried something different and just didn't like what I picked. Second time I liked my hair a lot. Third time I loved it. The reason this is not a 5 star review is because two out of three times I picked a time slot that was available and I was messaged saying that the stylist would not be in at that time.

No biggie I rescheduled both times. The other part that I am very upset about is that the first two times I picked online what I wanted done and the price was given to me and it was that price when I paid. TODAY I was quoted a price online ($120)when I booked my appointment and the price I was told as I paid today was $45 higher than what I was quoted online!

I would not have mentioned a small increase because I really do love my hair this visit BUT when the price is $45 higher than I was told it was going to be when I booked the appointment I believe I should have been told that and I also should have been told why the price was so much higher. Like I said the price has never been different than the prices I was quoted before and had it only been a couple of dollars I probably would not have left this review but I want other customers to be aware that this could happen to them.

On the way to the appointment I actually stopped and withdrew $160 from my bank. I figured $120, which is what I was told online, and a $40 tip would have been nice. I dropped the tip because of the price increase and to be honest I wish I would've dropped the tip more because of the lack of explanation for such a price increase. The part that upsets me is that ALL three times I have had the same thing done (cut and color). Does the price vary based on the stylist because I have had a different stylist all 3 times! I will not be back!

I saw Amber as a walk in, and I will definitely be back! My hair hadn't been trimmed in nearly a year, but she was non-judgmental and only gave me positive feedback. She did a great job with my haircut and gave me exactly what I wanted (even though I had a hard time describing that to her). Everyone was friendly and the prices were fair. I'll be back to see Amber for my next trim!

Amber did a fantastic job on my hair, and the salon took extra precautions during the Covid reopening. I think I have finally found a place I can go, get full service, in a clean and pleasant atmosphere!

Allisyn is AMAZING. Been to her for years now. Never dissatisfied and always so kind and helping to any need you may have. Also very educated on her craft which helps me understand things possible for my hair.

Everyone here was so friendly! i had a hair consultation and then appointment with Justice Bullings; she was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable. im very happy with my hair now! i had my hair bleached, dyed three different colors, washed and styled. the total was 180$ which wasn't too bad for what i wanted. i definitely want to go back whenever it's time for a touch up!

Great place for anyone to go get their hair cut. Brenda cut my hair. She kept conversation going and made me feel comfortable. She made sure I liked everything she was doing and she did an excellent job. There are never reviews by guys on here so I thought I would give my input. Will be coming back!

I thought the name was clever, so I stopped by for a cut. Great staff and one of the nicer places I've gone for a haircut ever! I don't normally go to salons, but am glad I was able to fit this in while traveling.

I myself don't have hair, so I don't need a Hair We Are, but my wife and 3 kids (Teen Boy, Teen Girl, almost Tween Girl) all have hair and they love this place! They've strayed away a time or two because its a busy place and getting an appointment with the favorite hair do'er (Brittany Alderman!) on short notice can be tough. and almost every time they stray, Brittany has to fix it.

The straying get less often these days. The prices aren't cheap, but they aren't super expensive. We've tried the cuts and the colors (highlights and BLUE) on both thick and thin hair and its always right.

I've been going to Brittany McGraw (hair stylist) for several years. Because I was going to school 3 hours north of Charleston, I only got to see her a couple times a year. But she, without fail, has done a fantastic job each time both with the cut and color. I'm very particular about my hair. It's cut fairly short (chin-length) with a lot of layers and stacking in the back, which requires the stylist to get the angles and the layers exactly right.

I also color with dark brown and lowlight with reds. The red is tricky because, over time, the red lowlights can start to turn a little brassy due to my natural blond hair color. Brittany understands this complexity and balances the colors in the dye AND the lowlights to make sure this doesn't happen. I haven't been to any other stylists in this salon, but I highly recommend Brittany McGraw!
