I've been debating about giving this place 1 or 2 stars. The stylist a young lady with very short hair was very nice she cut and styled my hair all nice. My wife wanted to see and the young lady told us she was more than welcome to sit besides me, when it was time to wash my hair another worker (older woman) went to my wife and told her to sit somewhere else because "those chairs were expensive" what is that supossed to mean?

And on MLK day no less? My Wife was distraught and decided to wait for me in the car. I still tipped my stylist bc she didnt do anything wrong but this experience ruined our whole day. And if you're gonna tell me that I am not in your system you can look the name Friederike. Mr owner your employees need some manners.

Had to find a new stylist and was recommended to try Impulse. Coco was very friendly and did an outstanding job. Booked my next appointment while I was there, so I'll definitely be back.

Took my girls here to get their hair done. Very personable stylists and they do their best to give you exactly the cut you are looking for. They also work well with kids, which is a plus. Would go back and recommend.

The ladies at Impulse are so awesome and uplifting! All the ladies made sure the entire wedding party looked and felt beautiful. The breakfast provided was excellent. The music selection. Everything. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup! My wedding day started at Impulse and I'm so glad it did. Bri set the tone for the whole day and made me feel extra special; especially since she came in off maternity leave just for me! Tricia enhanced my look and made me feel beautiful all day. She made sure my makeup didn't budge! No rain or sweat could ruin the day! Thank you ladies!

Lexi was my stylist and she was amazing! I had my hair cut and donated as it was long enough. She then gave me an undercut that was exactly made how I pictured. She finalized by styling and giving me layers that really lifted my hair. I will be looking forward to a future appointment! Service: Hairstyling

I heard that Impulse stylists were trained in Deva Cuts for curly hair. I hadn't had my hair cut in 3+ years and it was time. Jalen did an awesome job of dry cutting my hair and it turned out exactly how I didn't know I wanted it! I probably had 6-7 inches cut off. When I need another cut, I'm definitely making an appointment with Jalen again.

Lexi was great! The cut and style was exactly what I was looking for and even told her I was unsure that I could be able to style it like she did again and then she took the time to give me a quick tutorial on how to curl my hair! She went above and beyond and I've already booked my next appointment with her.

WOW! I had such an excellent experience with this salon. I got my hair and make up done here for my wedding day and the ladies at impulse salon could not have done a better job. I first got to experience the salon for my hair and make up trial about two months prior. Logan and my makeup artist made me feel so at home and used so much attention to detail to make sure they got everything right for my big day coming up.

The day of my wedding they had at least 5 to 6 different people all day ready to help o me and my bridal party at 8 o'clock in the morning the Saturday before Christmas! They had a whole table set out with snacks muffins yogurt water just for me and my ladies so that we wouldn't go famished as we got ready for my wedding. They made me feel so special and pampered.

This is also one of the only salons I've ever been to that actually has a liquor license which I have to say makes a big difference. Additionally the salon itself is beautiful and big. We all started mimosas at 9 AM and just had a great time. My hair and make were so beautiful for my wedding day; everybody commented on it, even my photographer. I can't recommend this place enough and I highly suggest you go there for any event big or small. Thanks for everything guys!

Had a great experience at impulse yesterday hair was very dry and my scalp was very dry Ashlyn suggested the right shampoo and conditioner no more dry scalp today or dry hair I believe that the stylist really care that you are happy with your haircut and I was relaxed the whole time I was there it was a great experience

My daughter and her bridal party had their hair, make-up and some had their nails done at Impulse Salon and Spa. They were wonderful! The girls looked beautiful and we were treated like royalty. they provided snacks, drinks and they had a few games with prizes. It was the beginning of a wonderful wedding day.

I found them in a magazine and decided to try them. These people know what the heck they're doing! From the second I walked in, I was treated well, offered a drink, consulted on how I wanted my hair, and offered an expert opinion on how to improve my damaged hair (I had recently bleached it to death). Majorie (the woman who did my hair) was knowledgeable about the types of dyes she uses, things to enhance the colors and what would make YOU look the best.

I left there feeling more gorgeous than I've ever left any salon and I haven't had any regrets, unlike most of my salon visits (in other places) where I usually have at least one or two regrets or things I'd change. My boyfriend had a cut with Layla and he thought she did a good job too. She was really nice. Another thing I liked about this place is I found out that unlike most people in Newburgh they continue their beauty education after beauty school and go yearly to classes to keep up with the latest dyes and trends. What an awesome jewel of a place to find in Newburgh! You can bet I'm going back!
