It's been years since I have walked out of a hair salon happy with my haircut. Kylie did an amazing job, gave great advice & was super accommodating. She is very easy to talk to. Delighted with the service and the atmosphere of the salon.

Asked for hair not too red. Just a hint. Even during coloring I expressed concern. Why won't stylists listen? Came out terrible just before an event. It doesn't matter if the stylist is talkative and the cut is fine. If the color or awful there isnt much you can do on short notice. So disappointed. Never again. I had a great experience here. My cousin and I both donated 14 of our hair to Wigs for Kids here. This salon is the only local place I'd found who facilitates hair donations on behalf of the customer (ie they cut and send the hair for you). I got a super cute cut and my stylist, Kylie, was a good conversationalist. I love the resident housecat, Otto who was just chilling in a salon chair. Each stylist station is super personalized as far as decor and this place has great vibes and plenty to look at.

I'm a trans man who only came to the pnw in 2020, and I've been doing my own hair for about three years because I never have had a haircut from a professional that didn't make me dysphoric. Amber was the one who did my hair, and she was so sweet and helpful, and she did an amazing job. She talked with me about my goals and managed to cut my hair in a way that didn't look feminine at all and still keeps the length I have on top (about 3 inches) so I can continue to grow my hair out instead of shaving it like I usually do when it's this long. I was fully prepared for this to be my last time going to a salon/barbers shop, but Amber 100% changed my mind. I'll definitely be going back when I need my hair cut again.

I was recommended by a friend to visit Jason for a haircut. Hers ALWAYS look great. And she's got a great funk style. I love funky. So? Jason was THE BEST. Great at communicating. Very skilled with a razor and I absolutely love my new style. In addition, he is just a great human. Kind heart, groovy soul and definitely going to be my stylist for as long as I can have him. Dravi did a beautiful job cutting and coloring my hair, and made me feel good about myself. I was a bit nervous about getting my hair colored, and Dravi put me at ease with their calming personality and then really delivered on a custom color job. My early grays are now flowing into my ends more smoothly. Great conversations too, I highly recommend.

I had Drobbi today and she was really wonderful. She did just what I wanted and was helpful and friendly. The people getting color were looking gorgeous. This place is not pretentious in any way. The price is very reasonable.

I come to Jamie Lee to see Amber T. She has been doing my hair for years and couldn't imagine anyone else doing it. This place is eclectic and highly recommend.

I got my hair dyed, trimmed, and styled by Amber. She was so sweet and fun to talk to. I've been scared to go to a salon for a few years, and because of her I'm confident to come again! She made my hair look better than it has in a long time and I left absolutely happy and confident! The ambience was grand and cozy. I've lived in Olympia all of my life and have seen this quirky little salon a million times while in downtown so I was excited to try them but I'm really disappointed with the whole experience. I had Jamie as my stylist. I've been growing my hair out from a pixie and needed my length trimmed and evened out. From the time I arrived it was awkward.

She didn't say on the phone what the procedure was for Covid so I was confused when I arrived. She isn't very approachable and didn't ask me hardly any questions about me or my hair. I work in the hair industry but she wouldn't know that cause she didn't seem too interested in getting to know me. But I kept trying to ask her questions to keep the conversation going, it was like pulling teeth.

She didn't tell me about any products she used in my hair, or much about the lines they carry. When I was styling my hair at home I noticed that one side was longer then the other and my bangs were uneven and chunky. I fixed the cut myself. She said she has been doing hair for 35 years and it seems she has gotten careless.

Everyone is very friendly. This place has personality. Amber is my hairdresser and she is great. She is the house cat.

I have thick wavy graying hair full of cowlicks. Not always easy to work with. Tracy gave me a fantastic short asymmetrical cut that compliments my waves. I have had good cuts from others there too over the years. It's a fun atmosphere and moderately priced; that's why I keep returning.

I decided to give this place a try. finally. I must have walked by 100 times. I desperately needed something done with my hair. I walked in after a complete box-color fail and asked for a miracle. I got it. I called to see if a short notice appointment was available and completely lucked out getting Kylie. She absolutely did magic. It was completely 100% worth every penny. Admittedly I was nervous.

This place looks cool and quirky, and I'm really not sure I was cool or edgy enough. Kylie is young and rad. I have so much fear about a new salon, and eeeek a new stylist. But I have been feeling like a change for the new year, and needed help. BAMMO! I got it. It was fun to hear all the cool things people were doing with their hair.and many other things going on.

I could not be happier. I feel like I finally have the haircut I have wanted for ages, and my color is stunningly beautiful. I definitely will be back and recommend this place. Everyone who left there was happy, smiling, and gorgeous.including me.

I randomly found this place while exploring Olympia. I'm so glad I did. The place is cute and quirky. Such a darling space to be in. I booked a massage with Brookelle. I have been sore and stiff from traveling. I definitely left more comfortable! She is so kind and professional. A perfect massage.

Went to Jamie Lee and Co. for the first time today. It's a fun upbeat place with funky bright colored decor. Kylie cut my hair and while it is a simple bob its now slightly wedged at the bottom and cut out underneath making it light and easy to dry and it's super even. Kiley took lots of time to get it right. It is one of the best cuts I have had in a very long time. The price was reasonable too. Very happy with this salon - I highly recommend!

Absolutely love love this eccentric beauty place. My stylist was amazing, we talked dreads and other randomness as she shaped my almost mullet into a cute elevated bob. Definitely worth the trip from Puyallup.

My husband's hair is REALLY hard to cut. like decades-since-he's-had-a-good-cut hard to cut. The day before our wedding the scruffiness was too much to bear, so we got him in with Sarah at the last minute. From our perspective it was a big gamble, but the payoff was immense! Sarah gave him a great cut along with styling advice and honestly, he will never go anywhere else as long as we live in Olympia. It's such a relief to know we have a place to go where he will be in good hands.

Jason is my stylist, and I adore him! He's so kind, and after a few visits, has perfected my queer, curly haircut! He's worth booking with!

We love @Crystal Howard at Jamie Lee. She always gives us amazing color and cuts. A very hip, eclectic vibe, always great music, and they will get you a water, coffee, tea or even a glass of wine. Queer tested and approved!

Yet again working with Somer at Jamie Lee & Company was a great experience w/great results! This time we did lots of bright hair color again and a new side shave too. Hair dye colors this time was Orchid, true blue, and pink (which you can see more from a side or back view). Somer is always supportive of my hair ideas I come in with, which is great as I'm getting a little more adventurous each time.

You can see all my old reviews of Somer and old color & cut photos below. As usual it's a 3 step process, bleach, color, cut. Somer is careful to only bleach the part that wasn't bleached before so my hair doesn't get too damaged, and also advise me of the long term impact of each color. For example blues fade to blue and it is hard to put any other color over the blue so we stuck w/blue in the front again which works out great.

Pink fades to a lighter pink which would impact what color you put over it next time but that's fine since I'll put purple or more pink over it next time. I was basically a color newbie before Somer and she has taught me all I need to know about it. I get the ombre style which has various lengths of my natural brown up top so it still looks good as it grows out & fades.

I still really value her mellow calm and positive demeanor since it's a 4 hour experience to get all of it done. If you're a mellow kind person who wants a partner in crime to help let out your visually expressive side, Somer's your stylist!

Jason made me feel super dapper and well taken care of. I have a poor excuse for a beard but needed a trim and wanted to keep my top length while still looking cleaned up. He listened to me while also providing a skilled and thoughtful touch. He used scissors on my sideburns and undercut, I never felt like he was rushing through the cut. He made conversation that wasn't forced.

The cut was a bit more than i usually pay, but I don't think it was too much for the time and care he took. I'd rather spend it on a great haircut than blow 20 bucks at Great Clips and pray the entire time they don't buzz my head. I liked feeling like he was putting care into making me look good and he cared my look, even styling it for me. I will be going back.

This place is badass! Missa is a true craftswoman with an ability to understand exactly what you want complete with a scalp massage, a fade, a fat adorable cat and a colorful personality! This two story shop is lined with local art, pink walls and the famous mojaked poodle poster. Great product line, great service, great hair. I'm sold and will definitely be back here for my regular touch ups which they will remind me of via text message 24 hours before. Gotta love it! Not everyone can do a mojhawk but Missa did it with her eyes closed

Missa fixed my hair after I screwed it up with henna and indigo. She's brilliant. Also, this place has cats. Why wouldn't you go here?

I called this place last minute trying to get an appointment for the same day on a Saturday, they were booked up and put me on a call list in case someone cancels which no one did. Around 4pm Jamie called me and said she was supposed to be off at 5 but if I wanted to come in she would do a cut/ dye for me. I'm so happy I went in! My hair looks and feels amazing and Jamie did a wonderful job! The ambiance of this salon is just wonderful and the location is great. I will definitely be going here again.

Jamie herself has fix my hair! They stand by their work! If you don't like it they will fix it : she was very sweet and understanding about it and about what I wanted for my hair color I'm very happy with the fixed color
