I tried this beauty school when I moved here in 2016 because I used the redken beauty School in Clearwater Florida that was excellent. I asked them to only dye my hair and the gal that did it ran out of dye and they said they had to charge me an extra $10 to finish the job so it cost me $35 and it came out horrible. Do not go to this place ever it's only $20 more to have you hair done at another shop they are not worth the money and they should not have charged me an extra $10 because they gave me a girl that didn't know what she was doing. I can't believe all the good reviews they have because it was the worst experience for me

You have to keep in mind THESE ARE STUDENTS working on your hair/nails! If you want salon quality with no risk of a slip up, go pay salon prices! Anytime I see a slip I immediately speak up and it gets fixed. Getting a stylist that cares about their work is important. When you find a good stylist, tip them well. These kids are students so they don't get the money you pay for the service.
I find one that does a good job and continue to see the same one. It's a great place to go to get salon services on a budget! Thanks Jenny Lea students and staff for making me look like a million bucks for only around 60.00 lol!

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality The stylist was very nice and tried to explain to the instructors my request. The instructor's were irresponsible in there duties. My hair cut and color was nothing anywhere close to what I communicated, verbally and visually" in pictures" Never, ever again will I go near, Jenny Lea. Never, Stay away if you value your hair.

STAY AWAY! CHECK FOR CORRECT LENGTH AND OTHER DETAILS! I'm sorry to have to say this but I took my adult son here because he wanted the underside of his head shaved. He had grown his hair out for years and he had beautiful locks of red curls. They messed up everything about it. It's not shaved underneath correctly and it is uneven and doesn't connect around his head correctly! HE'S GOING TO HAVE TO SHAVE HIS HEAD JUST TO FIX WHAT THIS CHATTERBOX STUDENT DID TO HIM!

Took my daughter to have her hair trimmed (removing no length at all) and dyed purple, this is what she wanted for her 18th birthday. Dropped her off at 9 am, 7 hours later, yes 7 hours, picked her up only to find a rush dye job on the left side of her head and through the entire back. Yes I know that these are students, this is not my first time going there. However, because the salon closes at 4:30, and they didn't put the dye on until 3:30 (6 hours!) one of the instructors helped to "tag-team" her hair, and the left side and back was done by the instructor.
There are huge gaps in the color where the color is either washed out or there is none at all. The side that the student completed was throughly saturated and looks great. I am so unhappy with this rush job that took 7 hours and cost me $50. Please don't waste time going here if you want your hair dyed, because it appears that, though the students are good, the instructors do not care what you come out looking like. Update: less than 1 week later, most of the dye is gone. Original date 4/24, update 4/29.

I had an appointment for a Spa mani/pedi and had requested a "senior" student meaning one that was close to graduation. I only had to wait a few minutes but it became apparent immediately that the person chosen to do the "spa" mani/pedi had no idea what she was doing. Everything was done out of order and sloppily. It took 4 hours (no joke). I came home immediately and removed the globbed on polish, still stringy cuticles and rough skin.
What a total lack of professionalism, sense of order and lack of enthusiasm! I am wondering what these students are being taught or not taught for their tuition. This person is 3 weeks away from graduation and was a total amateur. My 7 year old granddaughter could do a better job with a little coaching and instruction. F- never again. $30 and 4 hours totally wasted. Don't bother with Jenny Lea!
