Kalona Salon & Spa

My friend and I got pedicures the other day and had a lovely experience at the Kalona Salon & Spa. The text reminders leading up to the appointment were very helpful and all of the staff that I interacted with was very friendly. Claudia gave me my pedicure. I thought she did a great job and was extremely friendly. She answered all of my questions and had a vast knowledge to share with me about how to take care of your nails.

My feet and legs felt so soft and I absolutely love the color of my sparkly toes! So happy to find yet another business to frequent in my favorite shopping center on the island!

Great location and services. What I requested and what I received was a little different and I chalk that up to my not being clear when I called for the service. Everyone was very nice, the salon is clean and everyone followed safety protocols. I would definitely return when next I visit Kona.

Outstanding customer service, clean, safe atmosphere. Claudia does a wonderful pedicure. She is very thoughtful and professional. She's not rushing to get you in and out. She is very meticulous and detailed. Pam is the new owner since last year. She is awesome! She does it all. Very welcoming to all her customers. No matter what service you do, its relaxing, and well worth having a spa day. I reccomend making an appointment. This is a destination spot and well worth it!

Had a Mani Pedi done. Total was $60 for the basic Mani Pedi. It was an average quality and it's already starting to chip on my fingers after just three days. Not the best, and it was very very rushed I was in and out for both services in an hour and 10 minute. I had to remind the nail tech to cut my cuticles on the side and clean the dirt out from under my toenails. I'm sure there are other places in Kona that can do a little better job, where you feel appreciated as a customer. Won't be back.

Needed a last minute hair appointment for my mom and I for my wedding. Yes, last minute. I had the genius idea that I would do my own hair for my wedding and a few days before decided I'd rather not, so began frantically searching for a salon to accommodate. They were able to fit us in, and my mom's hair looked amazing. It was lovely to see her all dolled up for a change. And although my hair was simply curls, they were able to clip my hair piece in and the whole thing came out beautiful.

Had a wonderful experience here where everyone was warm & friendly. Claudia provided a great mani/pedi with French tips. She was meticulous and paused to ask my preferences along the way. Pam did my wash/blow dry/style. I nearly fell asleep while she massaged my scalp. So relaxing!

Claudia gave me a great sports pedicure. It lasted an hour. Melissa convinced me to tint my eyebrows. She also shaped and waxed to perfection. I will be back

I walked in for a pedicure at about 10am in the morning on a Friday and they were super friendly and kind to take me in. It was not busy at that time. The location is convenient and inside looks very nice and welcoming. The lady that did my pedicure did a fabulous job and she was great to talk to. I recommend them!

Wow! What can I say about this place other than amazing! Needed to get a nail fixed done while hanging out in Hawaii. Have a place here now and was looking for a new place to get nails, hair, etc. done for when I eventually move here. Called and Sharon "squeezed me in" with Melissa. Not only did she take care of my horrible nails that were chipped and cracked, she introduced me to a new product that made them look amazing.

And they feel good too. Everyone in the salon was very accommodating and nice, it's a great atmosphere and all the clients seem to be happy at all the different stations. I would highly recommend any service you're looking for when in the Keauhou area. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you Melissa!

Wonderful spa! Our family group of three was accommodated for pedicures and we all had a great experience and pedi. The place is bright and clean with nice furnishings and decor and easy to find at Keauhou Shopping Center. Everyone there was fun and friendly, a perfect choice for us! I will be returning as a regular customer.

I'm in Kona for a wedding and needed a pedicure before it. So glad I came here! Pam is wonderfully friendly and gave me such a relaxing service. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

I cannot say enough good things about Kalona. It is an Aveda salon that has the best hair and skin products. Everyone of the technicians are truly professional and really care for their clients from Sharon, Pam, Melissa, Lilia, Emmi and Ceci. They do it all, Haircuts from ultra hip modern long or stylish bobs. Mani/Pedi acrylic or regular, lash extensions, hair extensions, waxing and facials with the exquisite Aveda products that are all plant based.

And I am your massage therapist full range of modalities available from aromatherapy to lomilomi and I am Illona ask for me when you call. Reserve your spot soon and if you have a bridal party we would love to pamper all of the ladies and gents. Guys love pedi's too right! Call Kalona we got the aloha spirit.

Sent my wife there and she came back so happy. She got a great mani pedi at a decent price. She said the place was clean and exceeded her expectations.

My sister and I needed pedicures and upon calling around the salons near us were able to make appointments at Kalona Salon for later that day. The reviews were great, although limited which is why we called some of the other salons near us first, all of which were fully booked for the day. We've gotten pedicures in lots of different cities in many states in the U.S. and have been both delighted and disappointed at times.

On our visit to Kalona, we were extremely delighted! We paid a bit more for a pedicure that included a calf massage and it was awesome. Very relaxing. Our feet look great (no lingering patches of dry skin) and our polish held up after a long day at the beach a few days later so it was a major win!

Incredible staff, great atmosphere. Tucked away in the courtyard square behind KTA, Kenichi. Called in a made an appointment about an hour before and they were able to fit me in no issue. Pam did a great job, super relaxing.

This salon in Keauhou ( adjacent to KailuaKona) is a treat! The staff who work there are friendly and more than willing to make their clients happy. Melissa is my Skin Care Expert! She is fabulous! She is knowledgeable about all the latest tends in Skin Care. She also does manicures and pedicures! They are in the heart of the Keauhou Shopping Center right next to Kona Stories Bookstore!

Kalona salon and Spa is high on my list! I have been coming here for over a year and am always very happy with the friendly staff and professionalism. Melissa is super friendly and does a great job. Always very accommodating when my schedule is tight. My lashes look beautiful and she is quite the perfectionist! Kalona Salon and Spa will not disappoint.

Wow what an uplifting incredible experience Kalona Salon and Spa truly is! When you walk in you are immediately greeted with a warm smile and a cold glass of water with a twist of lemon. Sharon and her entire staff are amazing! From start to finish they make you feel like you are the only person there as they spoil you with what seems like a never ending hair wash soft music and a most relaxing environment ever! Weather you live on the Big Island or you're just visiting treat yourself to Sharon's Kalona Salon and Spa. It is absolutely north of awesome!

Clean courteous and amazing! Hair services (wash/dry/flat iron) were outstanding. Nice shopping mall to wander around as well.

This salon is very clean, calming and relaxing. The staff is friendly and has a good report with each other and their clients.

I have been going to Sharon for about a year now and have been extremely happy with both her skill and the standards of the shop. Sharon is extremely knowledgeable and professional and the shop is quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend the shop and any of the stylists there. The shop is very conveniently located in the Keauhou Shopping Center.

What a joy to find this fantastic salon and spa within walking distance of my home! Because my family operates on one car, I had to find a salon close enough to my new home that could live up to the standards of my previous one, Monimay, which was also top notch! I originally was a walk in because I had stupidly decided to 'fix' my hair with a color bought at Long's which I am still recovering from.

But I digress. I originally saw Pam who was previously a full time employee but now resides in Dallas but returns home during the holidays and works while visiting family. Once she returned to Dallas, I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with the owner, Sharon, who is absolutely talented beyond words. In fact, my son had a haircut with her before me while he was visiting from college break and it was the best cut he has ever had.

I just had my second appointment with Sharon and again, she was amazing. We are still in the process of fixing my self-imposed hair debacle but not only is she getting me back to fabulous color like Monica at Monimay, she has given me the absolute best haircuts I have ever had.and because I have short hair, there have been ALOT of haircuts! Above and beyond her talents, however, is her kind and inviting personality and her expertise is effortless because of her infinite gift and knowledge of her craft.

I have even had people take pictures of my hair while I was working who wanted to replicate the cut Sharon gave me. Additionally, my husband got an appointment with Sally who is also talented, funny, and knows exactly what cut you need before you do. The customer service is outstanding, the staff welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable and the prices comparable to the area and well worth it considering the quality of service received. I am so grateful to have found this salon and be able to share its accolades because it is truly a gem in Keauhou Shopping Center.

Been to quite a few salons here and finally have found a "keeper". The salon was clean, quiet, and very professional staff. Sally gave an amazing pedicure. I will definitely be making another appointment here!

A beautiful facility with qualified, caring professionals. Can't say enough good about Melissa for pedicures and the owner, Sharon, for the ultimate listener to a very nervous, So. California transplant taking that first dive on the Big Island for a new stylist. Sharon was everything I was looking for and knew exactly what I wanted done.no more nerves after leaving my 12 year stylist behind in CA. I can't thank them enough!

This place is great! I got a wax and a gel manicure/pedicure. The lady that helped me was really sweet and did a fabulous job. My parents live in Kona, and on past visits I've tried other places that aren't nearly as good as this one. I'll definitely be back here during future trips!
