I went here for a blowout and makeup for my graduation party and they were fantastic! my hair stylist was Hope and she was so so sweet and took such good care of me! she didn't rush even though there was an entire bridal party and she made my hair look amazing! my makeup artist was Morgan and she was also amazing! she was so funny and made the whole process relaxing. she asked me if i liked everything throughout and changed what i asked! she also applied my false lashes flawlessly which is like a super power. everyone there was so sweet and it was such a fun environment to be in! everybody at my party loved how i looked and i actually felt confident!

This was my 1st time visiting KJ & Company and I have to say I was very impressed with the service I received from the minute I walked in the door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My stylist (Kate) helped me find a style for my hair that I just love. I followed up with a 6 week appt. I might even try out other services down the road. I highly recommend KJ & Company.

Nina did an amazing job on my makeup. She did a great job matching my skin tone and really made for eyes stand out. Hope did a great job with my hairstyle. I told her what I wanted and I couldn't have asked for a better style. She nailed it. Services: Hairstyling, Makeup services

I had recently got my hair cut and it was not good! So I was recommended to come to KJ & Company and have them fix it. I was nervous cause my hair was pretty long and it need to be cut short to fix what the other salon messed up on. The stylist Taylor did a amazing job on fixing my hair and trying to keep my length as much as she could. I walked out very pleased with her work and felt much better about my hair!

Every time I tried a new stylist during college or when my typical stylist was booked, my hair was dyed black or I was given bangs - neither of which i wanted. After accepting a job in Cedar Falls a year ago, i was hesitant to find a new stylist once again. After waiting a whole year and getting multiple recommendations, I booked Hope at KJ & Kompany.

I barely even knew what I wanted but explained it the best way I could and for the first time, I can't believe how amazing my hair is. It was professional and the color was the perfect shade. She blended it into my natural hair so well and hid the blonde I wanted to get rid of. The cut was just the way I wanted it and was layered beautifully! I couldn't recommend this place enough! For anyone who has had experiences like mine in the past, stop looking and book an appointment here! Especially with Hope (she is the sweetest).

The lady cutting my hair was not very social, seemed to be in a hurry. She was more concerned about the people after me, better yet, the lack of clients after me. She complained about having to stay there late. She did not do what I requested and decided to cut my hair however she wanted. The environment was very dull. There would have been more excitement inside an invisible mimed box. I wouldn't recommend going here. I will Not be going back. Don't waste your time and money!

Tobey W. is amazing! He gave me a great cut and haircare advice, and also made our 6 year old daughter feel so special with a beautiful, "fancy" hairstyle. Will definitely be scheduling with him again in the future. Services: Haircut, Hairstyling

The worst! Called to reschedule an appointmment. A day later they called to remind me of my appointment on the day I canceled. I called back and they said I wasn't on the schedule. Rescheduled, they called with a reminder again with the wrong date. I called back, they said I was not on the schedule. It happened a 3rd time. I even talked to the manage and she scheduled an appointment and when I called back I was told I was not on the schedule.

To top it off the manager left a message saying I was a no call no show 3 times and would have to put down a $45-$50 deposit for an appointment. INSANE! In checking with other people that USE to go there they had the same experience. NEVER go Back! Very over priced! Better salons all over CF.

I had an appointment this week, & the cut/highlight was good - not exactly what I'd asked for but I didn't dislike it, & I understand that you can't always get the desired result in the first session so I can totally live with it. The pricing was good & my stylist was very kind. The real kicker though, & unfortunately the reason I won't return, was that the service took about 3.5 hours. That's nearly double what it would normally take for my hair. I have a very young child, & that's not a realistic amount of time for really anyone I know to sit in a salon.

My daughter had winter formal last weekend and we made an appointment with KJ & Company. She got her hair styled exactly how she wanted and got her makeup done using the airbrush services. She has not had this done professionally other than hair cut and highlights and was beaming the entire time. She looked gorgeous and most importantly felt confident and beautiful for her first high school dance.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Loved the experience. By far the best hair color I've ever had at a professional salon! Angela took her time made sure the color was exactly what I wanted. I got my eyebrows waxed and they looks wonderful! So happy with the service! I already booked my next appointment! I went into the experience very optimistic, wedding party events I know are a lot for those in this industry. My hairdo experience was stressful, but luckily another beautican stepped in to assist, the only downfall was my hair did not stay in place most of the night. The Bobbi pin were all showing and constantly popping out of place. I made them aware that my hair was very fine and didn't hold the best, so styling was key. I've had my hair done MANY MANY times for wedding updos and this was one of the least comfortable hairdos I've experienced.

Makeup went similar, I expressed what colors I prefered and the lady applying my makeup not once had me check in the mirror or show me color palette options. I even expressed who's makeup I liked in our bridal party prior. I then ended up with a look I had to have her redo, which wasn't something I would normally do. I then come to find out another makeup artist in the chair next to me was making fun of me to one of the other bridesmaids in my group staying "does she even know anything about makeup." She also was making comments during my makeup process.

I already had anxieties about this, and that made me more uncomfortable during this all. For the price and lack of professionalism I would not recommend. Other ladies in the part also said some of the other staff were rude and didn't acknowledge what they requested, otherwise just did what they wanted. Just very upsetting as these services aren't cheap.

Came in about a week ago for a style before attending a friend's wedding. The people who greeted me at the front weren't the nicest, but the service and my results absolutely made up for it! My stylist didn't charge me the full amount because I didn't require a shampoo, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely come back in the future!

Very Terrible Experience. I was very Disappointed in the owner and stylist Lisa for turning me away after being about 15 minutes late. This is Very Appalling Especially since I have always left a tip for Lisa. In fact on one Occasion around Christmas time I left Lisa A $100.00 tip. This Establishment is Not at all people Oriented! They are way over priced and Know nothing about working with the public. Since this Horrible Experience I found a 10 Times better Establishment and Stylist. Thanks for your Very Bad Business Practices.

I wanted to spoil myself (which i don't like to do often since i'm frugal) by getting hair and airbrush makeup for my engagement photos and left in tears! my makeup was AWFUL. wasted so much money only for me to rush home and wash it all off and do it myself. thankfully my photographer was understanding with why i was late since i had to redo my entire face. Left with so much regret and sadness on what should have been such a happy and exciting day.

From the receptionist talking to us with a big, fat lollipop in her mouth to the overconfident stylist we saw, I can say with confidence that this is the worst haircut experience ever. The stylist did everything opposite from what I asked her to do, even with a photo I provided. Then, when I told her what I didn't like, and called her out on doing quite literally the OPPOSITE of what I asked her to do, got defensive and called her manager to look.

Both were totally convinced it was such a "cute" haircut and tried to convince me of the same. End result was being charged for a super crappy haircut that was nothing like I asked for remotely. My advice to anyone considering going to this salon is to spend $10 at Cost Cutters and get a better result. Or go to the hair school instead. But, if you want a cookie cutter hideous haircut that makes you cry, go here.

Lisa did a very good job. A little pricey but got me in quick. Owner is the best she takes the time to jump in and help.

I had to try Because my hair stylist brittany works at KJ now.brittany is tge best hair stylist in town. Seriously! The place is clean and the staff are very nice and friendly.i highly recommend!

They have the nicest people working there and offer great services at a good price. Won't go anywhere else to get my hair cut. Amanda is the best

I have no idea how these previous reviews happened. I have been going here for years and I have always walked out on cloud 9. My stylist Sedika is ridiculously good at her job. So. This place: - Ambiance is lovely, upbeat music and great lighting - Selection of high quality products is second to none (for sale) - They use high quality products on your hair during your appointment - Staff is professional and nice - They are pricey, but you get what you pay for I have to post my latest style! What she did to my hair is not hair color, it is pure sorcery!

Not worth the cost! Will never get one more penny from me. KJ has been at the Mall for over 30 years and it used to be my go to place! But their quality has really gone downhill. There are a few that do great work but I have noticed many of them have left. There are so many other salons out there that are awesome. I gave it one star for convenience. You can usually get in quick as a walk in.

I asked for my hair to be cut to my armpit. I am in tears right now. The cut it barely to my shoulders. I was spun away from the mirror so couldn't see until it was over, which I thought was incredibly strange. It looks terrible, I feel terrible, I'm absolutely mortified and wish I could hide in my room and cry until it grew back. Totally unacceptable.
