Margaret introduced MAC Hair Studio & Spa to Historic San Marco in 2002 with her team of experts and has been cultivating their talent ever since. Born in Scotland, she started her training in the art of hair design in Europe under some of the top British and U.S. hair stylists. She continues to travel abroad with her team of stylists to stay up-to-date on techniques and trends in the hair design industry.Colin is a graduate from the Bolles School and Ringling School of Art and Design. He joined the family business 7 years ago as a stylist.

I absolutely love this salon. I started coming here a few months ago for hair extensions. My hair was thinning out due to my medical conditions, and I needed to add thickness and volume. Margaret is attentive, professional, and does wonders for my hair! The staff is always very kind and accommodating. I am thankful to have hair that I love again. I would 100% recommended this salon to everyone.

I highly recommend this salon for quality, professional hair services. I have always been please with each service and have had color, cut, style, and extensions. Amber and Margaret have always taken great care of me! I never feel rushed and feel no shortcuts are taken to be sure I'm pleased with my hair. Great customer service, excellent stylists, and great coffee, too! I'm very happy here and look forward to every appointment!

I walked in as a first time customer and walked out a very, very happy and 100% satisfied customer who will definitely keep coming back. I needed advice and guidance with my next color and cut and got it in spades from Margaret. In fact, everyone there was extremely helpful and positive and the whole salon has a cozy home feel that just tops off the whole experience.

Mac Hair Studio with Margaret Misener at the helm, is a true positive customer experience. The entire staff is attentive to the needs of the customers. I have been using Mac Hair Studio for over 20 years, and there's a reason for that. All the stylists there offer so many more services than just a hair cut. Their understanding of a client's needs and wants, from hair to skin and all in between, surpasses any salon I have visited in my 40 years as a Jacksonville resident. Their products are top of the line, and their knowledge of styling is always current without becoming trendy. I highly recommend you give them a try. I had the pleasure of having Margaret do my makeup for my daughter's wedding. We had never met before, but she understood my style and kept my look both natural and elegant. Margaret was the make-up artist for my wedding and I could not be happier with the result. I felt so glamorous and my make-up held up through rain, sweat and Florida humidity. I have been going to Mac Hair Studio for a number of years and have always been pleased with the results. Margaret does an excellent job with Cuts, color and style. Plus you are in beautiful surroundings that are very elegant and relaxing. All of the staff is warm and friendly. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I am thrilled with the services that I am enjoying at Mac Hair Studio. Everyone there is welcoming and charming. There is a huge difference between getting a cut versus having one's hair styled as I have experienced with Margaret and Colin. I had my hair cut today by Maggie. She was really sweet and attentive, listening to what I wanted before starting. The cut is beautiful- I will definitely be back for another! Also, I spent a lot of time talking with the esthetician, Sherrie, who went through their whole skin product line with me and gave me samples. All around great experience!

Coming from Key West, I have been looking for a place to get my hair done. I am very picky on who I let do my hair. Since I moved down here 3 years ago I have not found a place that understands my hair needs. I tried a few salons but it was not to my liking. Luckily I ended up finding a place that meets more than my expectations. Colin from Mac Hair Studio definitely understands my hair. I am very grateful to have him as my hair stylist. :-D

Just moved to Jacksonville a few weeks ago. I looked up a salon that sells Kevin Murphy products. Little did I know the stylist I made the appointment with is actually a Kevin Murphy instructor! He is awesome! His expertise with scissors was nothing short of incredible! Very impressed with Colin! I have made regular 4-week visits through the end of the year - I'm so happy this part of my moving adjustments has turned out so well!
