My husband and I enjoyed the couples massage and their many facial treatments. The Ocean Waters Spa, situated at the newly renovated Plaza Resort & Spa, Daytona Beach, FL, is a beautifully appointed state-of-the-art spa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This European-style spa will transform your seaside escape into a luxurious journey, transporting you to levels of relaxation and rejuvenation that exceed all previous possibilities.

The plaza was absolutely beautiful. The wine wine was fine. Rooms nice and clean. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Staff was very polite and helpful. Spa was wonderful, and relaxing. It's kinda pricey and they automatically add to much gratuity to your service. Other than that it was awesome! Would definitely recommend. Right on beach and across from all the bars and dance clubs. So if you want to pamper yourself and party too, the Plaza Resort and Spa is the place to stay.

The rooms are still decorated in 1980s decor, and could use some work as far as upkeep. The lobby and pool area is really nice. The parking garage was being worked on, but definitely could've been presented better. The spa area felt like 90 degrees the 4 hours we were in there. All that said, we still had fun.

So let's start with the staff, outstanding people. The management really nice but nothing i asked was getting done even after 2 different times of asking. The room, a lot to be desired, the room has roaches, the glass door is very hard to open and they NEVER CLEAD THE ROOM EVEN WHEN I ASKED THEM TO DO SO. No fresh towels, no new water bottles and water pressure is all over the toilet will not stop flushing

We stayed here for a convention recently and the hotel is right on Daytona Beach. Great location and the staff in all departments were amazingly friendly, especially the valet. They had several conventions going on the same weekend and 2 weddings so it was super busy, but the valet handled the flow very well! My only complaint was our room, a suite was somewhat dated.but very clean!

And we booked our suite last July and we ended up with an ocean view as requested, but a huge column blocking our view. It was unfortunate because it ruined the best part about the room. It wasn't enough to complain about to staff, but it is something to note if you are booking a suite on the 3rd Floor, make sure no pillars or columns are going to be present when booking.

With that being said, we had a wonderful time at the hotel, the pool was lively and fun. The hotel was very Family friendly and had a couple different options for dining right at the resort, by the pool or inside lobby had a restaurant. Oh and I got to see a dolphin swimming in the surf one morning from our balcony!

Troubling and annoying facts that come with room 736. Obviously bastardized before we checked I. What is the use of a beach facing room and porch if the sliding locks are sealed shut. Nondisclosed. I table and 1 chair. There were 2 of us. No coffee maker although you did leave coffee supplies. Bathroom. Lights need update. How do you expect decent makeup? Tub drains too slowly.

My ankles should not be submerged after a short shower. And really, would it hurt you to throw a coat of paint on the sink commode. Peeling and ratty welcome Biggie. The room door does not shut well. Thrice caught it in the nick of time. This is dangerous and uncool. 1 not so lucky. We returned from dinner to a door ajar and an unsafe room. Grateful nothing was missing. Lastly, of the 2 complimentary water bottles, 1 was open and half full. Plaza, you have a perfect location but really you can do better. 3 stars because your staff is pleasant and helpful. Management earned the other 2 stars for themselves.

This hotel is amazing! I booked oceanfront, and the cost was very reasonable. Rooms are decent size, clean and basic. Views are incredible! I received phenomenal service from Kali at the front desk. Do not bypass their 1888 restaurant. We tried to eat on the pier but it was a 2 hour wait, so we came back to the hotel and ate here. The food was incredible, no wait, and Dee our server was so nice.

It's pretty nice, but it's a very old building and definitely needs some tlc. A LOT of history behind this hotel, it was built in 1988, which I thought was super cool. The location is great and it has beach access of course. The pool wasn't heated, which was kind of a bummer since there was a cold snap when we went. Also no hot tub, which was strange for such a "nice hotel" Happy to report we only found 1 roach in the room during the 3 days we were there. The staff was super nice and the lobby was beautiful. Would stay there again, especially since the rate was really low for going during spring break!

We checked in on 2/18/22 at 9am. We were informed that check in wasn't until 4pm but they would call us when our room was ready. They didn't call us until after 5pm. Finally get to our room and it is very outdated and not very clean. None of the drawers were usable, the bedding was stained, and the shower curtain just looked worn out. Nothing like the pictures online.

We also paid extra to have an ocean view. if you went out on the balcony and turned to the left, you could see it. The food wait and quality was not worth the cost or the 18% gratuity. Can't really comment on anything else because the hours of the spa online are apparently incorrect so we never got a chance to check that out.

My boyfriend and I (we're Midwestern, southern IL) went to visit his family near Daytona. He wanted my first ocean experience to be at Daytona Beach. We decided on The Plaza to stay a couple nights for more of the vacation experience. Right away, Ronald at the front desk, had so much hospitality and made us feel welcomed. After our stay, we felt cared for by Ronald, Tom and the rest of the employees.

We definitely plan on staying every time we are down in the area visiting family. They made our experience relaxing, easy, and fun. They have so much to do just at their resort itself. Their pool/poolside was amazing when I didn't want to get the salty water in my mouth and sand on my feet, but still wanted to see and hear the ocean, and feel the ocean breeze.

Their location is great for walking around Daytona for food, sight seeing and shopping. Their balcony rooms are beautiful! I would highly suggest spending some extra money for a balcony with ocean AND city view. We were top floor, and loved everything. We enjoyed every aspects of The Plaza. Ronald and Tom, really helped our experience there more than ever. So, if you do go, I hope they will be working! Amazing people, really made us feel cared for and helped us have the best experiences for my first time in Daytona!

I'd love to start with how grand the plaza looks from the outside and the lobby but the rooms are far from okay. I see they're doing a lot of renovation so hopefully the rooms are on the list next so I can come back to see what it looks like. We spent 2 nights in a coastal room with a balcony. Seeing the ocean and the city was a pleasant surprise.

Overall 2/5 for accommodations but something I have to mention is the service we got at the check in desk with Kori. I don't think I've had a more pleasant experience staying in a resort, went above and beyond trying to help make our stay memorable after we were upset with the rooms. 5/5 service. Food from the restaurant was good and Mike was an excellent conversationalist and bartender
