Avoid going here at all costs! I was promised a job to be an instructor in exchange for my nail license. After I gave them all paper work needed they never contacted me back. Kept telling me that "we're waiting for the building to be up to code" weeks of no response to text from Jai. When ever I called the main MIT school they also gave me the run around. Please don't waste your time money or patience with these people!

I paid full tuition for this class, went through the whole thing down to passing the final. Since they had new instructors they wanted to make me retake everything - which wasn't fair and it upset me very much. Why is that my fault and had to effect me due to their problem with keeping instructors? I became very discouraged because of their lack of organization and would not return. I did not deserve that. I do not reccommend this school at all.

What a great experience in a friendly teaching environment. If you have the time, you can let them provide great services and you can reap the benefits to create a new and beautiful you.

I must say that this was a BLESSING and a LESSON to learn. This was supposed to be an experience for not only for me as an instructor but as someone who cares about helping others. I was very displeased & discouraged to the point where I just couldn't take anymore. The good thing is that I can show people what I learned from when I went to school and the new trending techniques.

I meet a lot of personalities, not only did I come to inspire individuals but I was Inspired too. The best thing that happened for me at Puttin On The Tips was seeing my students come from not knowing how to do nails to now graduating and getting their license, sharing my life experiences in the nail industry & survival. The DOWNFALL is that I was very UNHAPPY with a lot of things.

I have a laundry list of issues that I had there which is one of the reasons why I personally left the school besides working on my business. 1. Lack Of Organization & Structure. 2. Lack of Direction & Communication. 3. Lack of Honesty. 4. Lack of Fairness & Equality (Discrimination) 5. Level Of Professionalism. 6. No set schedule of assignments 7.

Lack of Respect. 8. No Set Rules for the students. 9. Lack of Promotion of the school. 10. Too much drama in the school. There's a lot more but I'm only gonna state these issues. But as an instructor, I felt like I wasn't paid enough money for the position. Teaching was a lot of work, it was like a full time job. So if anyone is trying to get into beauty school, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND coming to this school, I would leave work overstressed.

I was excited about it and now I'm glad I learned my lesson. All I cared about was my students and their future as nail technicians. To be a part of the beauty industry, you need to find a school that is structured and is willing to help you become successful with your future. Find a good school that will suit well for your schedule and will give you the knowledge that you need to move on with your life as an individual. I do want to thank my nail instructor for looking out for me about this job as an instructor.

My name is Diana O'Donnell, former owner of Hair Nails & Beyond Day Spa and Salon In Hampton Bays Long Island. I had to change my N.Y license to Florida license. To do that you have to take a test. The test is difficult and stressful the laws are different many new rules. Not to mentionion I haven't taken a test in many years. Before I moved to Florida I called all of the cosmetology schools in the state.

When I called Puttin on The Tips Ocala Vickie ( the owner ) answered the phone. She answered all of my questions and understood my concerns. Vickies professionalism and confidence gave me a sense of relief, I knew I found the right place. I started my retraining a couple of weeks ago. Vickie is a professional and excellent instructor and her staff Angelia & Sherl are amazing I am blessed to have met them.

I took my test last Tuesday which is 2 hours 30 minutes long and ACED IT! in 34 minutes. Thank You Thank You Vickie and staff at Puttin On The Tips Ocala. If you are thinking of the beauty business as a profession or in need of a GREAT Cosmetology school call Vickie at Puttin on The Tips Ocala she will get you where you need to be. I am grateful I met Vickie and her staff.

Tell her Diana sent you. PS As I stated earler I am the former owner of Hair Nails & Beyond Day Spa and Salon of the Hamptons, employed 15 woman & men. I wish I had a school on Long Island like Putin On The Tips to pull from. I would have made hiring staff so much easer. Hope you make the right decision and enroll at Puttin on The Tips Ocala. Good luck & God Bless

So, just like with anything, you get what you put in with this school. If you are here, and doing your services, you can graduate with your certificate easily! It is a very hands on school and you are expected to do the studying/bookwork on your own time. I love that the hours are very flexible, which makes it perfect for the parent or working adult that is looking for a career change.

Though the school has recently had a few changes in instructors, Christine is a wonderful addition to the school and has a passion for sharing her love of all things cosmetology with us. So, the bottom line is if you're looking to be coddled through a program, and expecting to have someone begging you to complete your services or bookwork, then this school probably isn't a great fit for you. However, if you are a motivated individual with a goal in mind, and are prepared to be a self starter this school may be perfect for you! Especially if you have a busy schedule and can not commit 30 hours a week at a traditional campus.

Just graduated I had a awesome experience at the school, I could pick my own schedule which was a huge blessing. Some older posts say that there are only certain days you can come in, depending on your program, but the owner has changed this and you can come in daily. I was able to finish as quick as I wanted to. All my questions were answered by the instructor and by completing the service I got the experience I need to get a job. The atmosphere is awesome too, I had fun at school!

5 instructors in 5 months. The rules changed so often when I was there that no one seemed to know what was going on. We learned mostly from videos on YouTube. People play favorites and accomodations are not made when people have emergencies unless you fall into a certain group.

Great pedicure experience! Missy was awesome: attentive, thorough and friendly! I will be back! Prices are so much more cost efficient; and the environment is clean, professional and friendly. You may spend a bit more time-keep in mind it is a school! Well worth the wait! I'm looking forward to exploring their other services!

Signed up for classes Monday -Thursday but instructor only allows you to come on Thursdays which would take a year or more to complete the program. When I signed up, I called to confirm I would be able to work as slow or as fast as I was able and she said all students work at different paces and it would be accommodated, which it's not. Friend of mine took this same course at a different school and it took her 7 1/2 weeks to complete.

The way this program is set up, that they do not make clear when signing up, is coordinated for a six-month course, which is not at all what was anticipated (and again, only going the one day a week that they allow, wouldn't be enough to complete in the 6 month projectory window). I asked instructor for a letter so that I could submit to my employer and she never gave to me even after several times asking.

She said she'd do it but then never did. I came in today to get some hours in a to do a couple facials. I did two facials on a mannequin, each were 30 min each and she marked one off saying I only did one. It was on a mannequin, like I mentioned, so the mask didn't need to stay on for ten min and the consult wasn't required (obviously). She sat in her office or ran around not once being in the room with us but still marked off my services that I def did!

It's a joke! She also treats me differently than the other students bc I'm the only one who has mentioned to her my concerns with the program hoping she could work with me. After I expressed my disappointment in her not accommodating my request to just come to class as expected, is when she started being very unprofessional and extremely rude. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

They do not explain anything to you and she is not willing at all in any way to help any of the students. I've asked to come in Monday - Thursday and she will not accommodate my request, even though, those are the skin care hours (as shown on the website). She said she'd come in so long as there were THREE of us who agreed to coming in. So the money I paid for this school is at the expense of the other students.

I'm so upset as I'm without a job and my husband and I only budgeted for me being out of work for max of three months, which obviously isn't going to happen. Definitely regretting my decision in investing my education here at puttin on the tips. I wasn't expecting much. All I wanted was to get my hours and my services in a reasonable time but apparently it's too much to ask from this program.
