I've been doing hair since 1993, and I could not be more excited to get up and do it every single day. Revolutions Salon has been in existence since 1984 and I became the owner in 2007. Hair is not just my job, it's my passion. I love the craft, and the way a great style can transform the entire look and feel of someone.

My first time in Revolutions was amazing, I got the exact cut I was looking for and it was perfectly tailored to suit me. Every aspect was gentle and slow to ensure I was happy. This second time unfortunately was not the case. While I was really happy with the color that my hair turned out given the complications my hair had (being previously bleached and dyed by myself), the cut and styling was extremely rushed.
It felt like I had a new stylist and an apprentice working on my hair. Since my hair wasn't doing what it should've my time was cutting into another clients time, which by that point I honestly just wanted a second appointment to complete the cut rather than have it rushed. My cut turned out choppy with dead/damaged ends sticking out longer, it looks okay from the back but everything in the front I had to trim myself so it wouldn't look scraggly.
It also didn't feel like my layers were trimmed either, so my very ends feel nice but halfway through my hair I've got straw-like layers that obviously weren't touched. My stylist had to switch to cutting the other clients hair so they had the person I believe was named Eric take over to blow dry. Eric let the hairdryer sit directly on my scalp on high heat as they talked to someone, burning my scalp lol.
The blow dry left my hair extremely damaged and frizzy after a bleach due to improper technique. They would run the round brush through my hair with the blow dryer and forced it through the knots to where I could physically feel hair being ripped from my scalp or broken off. Rather than just stopping to brush out the knots they just kept pulling. That experience alone makes me wish I could get some money back for how painful that was.
On top of it all, I told my stylist that I had a new cartilage piercing and that, if they could, try to avoid touching it. Of course I knew that you can't prevent that completely while doing hair, so inevitably they tugged it with the comb. It hurt a lot, no big deal. What was surprising is that as I left the salon, I pull out a mirror to check if it's swollen and it's just absolutely caked with blood.
Neither of the two stylists saw that? I wasn't mad, just more so shocked that through lifting my hair and flipping it over that no one saw or said anything. Despite this all, I really love this place already. It's clean and seems professional, the owner is extremely kind and informative. This experience wont stop me from going again but I'd like to be told if someone new is working on my hair, as I feel that service was not worth the price at all.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value The first time I walked in I knew this was the place for me. The vibe was fun yet professional. Each of the stylists had their own creativity and its refreshing to see. Salon areas are clean and neat. I look forward to my next appointment. 4 stars for parking though. I love this salon. I've been coming here for about 7 years now and you basically cant go wrong with any of the stylists. They've all been there for a long time so there's little turnover and I think that says something. If you're looking for someone who can is awesome at short hair, you have to see Missy. She is absolutely amazing

I can not speak more highly of my experience with this salon! I made an appointment on my 30th birthday and planned to chop my hair and try to foil in a more warming golden look. I had my appointment almost 2 weeks ago (I think you need a good week to style your own hair after the stylist does it to see if you can reciprocate your intended look) and LOVE my cut and color!
My stylist, Rachel, was amazing and her talent was top notch. I have never been to this salon before but after one appointment am a lifelong client. The salon itself was welcoming and everyone was professional and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend to anyone! - Justine
