Having been in the business for over 25 years, Robert Gold had the dream to one day have his own salon. With a vision in mind, and the backing of his family, he began searching for the perfect location in the Chicagoland area. What started as an old and outdated office building in Evanston, was soon designed into what Robert and his wife thought was the most comfortable and peaceful environment a salon could offer its guests. From the color scheme, to the floor plan, to the furniture and his famous landscaping, no details were thought to be unimportant.

Carolina is amazing but the salon has an odd policy where you cannot book a bang trim- so as someone with bangs, it just doesn't make sense to me. Every salon I've ever gone to allows you to book a 10 minute bang trim. If you have long hair and bangs a trim between haircuts is standard. Not great customer service. I'm happy to pay for a trim but they won't even do that.

I've been getting my hair colored at Robert Gold for 3 years. Briann is an amazing colorist, I won't go anywhere else for my highlights or balayage! When I originally decided to go blonde, I got a terrible, unblended highlight job at a different salon (won't bother naming them here). I immediately looked for a new place, hoping someone could fix it.
That's when I found Robert Gold and made an appointment with Briann. She completely fixed me up and blended the color out perfectly. I've been loyal ever since and I've never had a bad experience. Definitely recommend Robert Gold!

Just moved to Evanston and had to find a new stylist--never an easy thing--but I got it right the first time by going to Robert Gold Salon. Nicole spent extra time and attention on fixing the last haircut I had, which was mediocre, and she gave me a fabulous cut, beautifully styled. The salon is busy, comfortable, lots of light, in a great neighborhood. I really enjoyed my time there and felt great walking out with my fresh cut. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to this upscale salon, Robert Gold, for many years. Unlike some other upscale salons, I feel comfortable here. The owners are enjoyable to talk to and I never have to wait. Very experienced and knowledgeable stylists and colorists. Janet is an amazing stylist, that is who cuts and styles my hair. She is caring, has a great eye for what will be best for your face. Robert Gold Salon is GOLD.

This place is fantastic! I had been having my hair done in the city for years, but the drive was getting to be too much. My hair looks better now than it ever did. They always accommodate my busy schedule, change my look frequently and use really good products. I walk in and it is comforting and feels like home. Awesome energy and awesome work!

This is a lovely salon, very clean and usually relaxing. Ocassionally there will be someone there who does not have an inside voice. It's really difficult to let these people know that none of us there are interested, but this is my only negative. The stylists are all very professional and I would trust any of them with my hair. I have my favorites, but that is because I have been a client for a while. They also do a great job with color and make subtle changes to your color with the season so it continues to look natural. You will not be disappointed.
