I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years as both a hair stylist as well as a nail technician. I have always enjoyed the creative aspect of this profession, as well as the wonderful people I have met throughout the years. This is a profession that is always changing, and I enjoy the continued "creative" education. My roots are here in the Northland, and I am happy to be raising my family here. We live in such a beautiful area.

I had my nails shellacked and my hair trimmed. It took 4 days for one of the nails to chip and there is a bit of paint on my cuticles. That said, it's better than anything I could do myself and the rest of the nails have remained intact. Perhaps the chip is user error. I cant be certain as I've never had my nails shellacked before. I still have many split ends, but the cut itself is nice.
Which is more than I can say for most salons I've patronized. I think the main reason I'm not giving fewer stars is because the experience as a whole was great. Every employee was kind and helpful. The woman who cut my hair and did my nails was incredibly friendly. I'm almost certain I will go back to the salon if only to see if my first experience was an anomaly.
I realize it might seem ridiculous to give 4 stars to place that isn't nearly perfect but I have terrible luck with salons and this was probably the best experience I've had in 10 years.
