Updated: I heard from the owner and she was very apologetic and accommodating. Thank you I had the worst experience here - after moving my appointment 4 hours after the original time (after I already showed up and then having to reorganize my entire day) they did not acknowledge/apologize for it at all when I came back. Then after paying $250 for a 60 minute facial they did in 40 minutes. When I mentioned this at checkout I got a snooty response back and dismissed. Customer service 0/10 and facial wasn't anything special.

Loved my experience here and will be back. Ambience, professionalism, and knowledge of the products made me feel at ease. Meka was wonderful, and I wish I had gotten The Perfect Derma Peel sooner.

Bri is nice, but Meka's lack of care is displaying through her bad customer service. She gives short notice on appointment acceptance (once you book an appointment, she has to accept the appointment for it to be confirmed). She is unwilling to discuss skin sensitivity and other concerns. Not ever going back.

Got a Brazilian (hard wax) with Bri, was quick and painless, felt very at ease and comfortable

As a Southeast advocate, I'm always looking to support black owned businesses. Right after The W hotel sold downtown, I was at a lost for where to go for my Brazilians. But I found Beauty Skin Bar, right on 8th. a little 15 minute stroll from Eastern Market.and I am SOLD! This is my 3rd or 4th time, Bri is excellent. Very nice, very professional and the level of customer service is always pleasant.

The facility is clean, COVID compliant and calming. There's always ocean sounds and music in my room. I also notice the little things like sage and kind messages placed around the room. Also I tried a hard wax Brazilian today - IT WAS MY FIRST TIME AND IM NEVER GO BACK TO SOFT WAX. Moral of the story - I love it here and you should too

I had a Brazilian wax done by Bri. I haven't had a waxing in about 10 years. She was very kind and there was so little pain involved I was very surprised. I will definitely be back!

All of their services are professional and so relaxing. The facial & sugaring are my faves. I love supporting a business that is local, woman-owned, and Black-owned.

Supporting Black and women-owned business is very important to me and working from home/quarantine has made me feel homely, so I had been planning to go to Skin Beauty Bar for a while. Today was my first visit. The salon is immaculate and Meka is clearly an expert in her craft. Reviews didn't lie. It's also a good sign that I saw happy customers leaving as I was coming in. I am SO HAPPY with my brows and will definitely return. Thank you Meka!

I've been going to Meka (founder, owner, & esthetician) for more than 10 years. She's simply the best! Always professional, hygienic, and friendly. Now, during covid, she is taking all best practices: well-spaced appointment schedule (which means reduced business for her to prioritize everyone's health), hand sanitizer provided when you walk in, temp check at sign in, everyone wears masks the whole time. After visiting Meka at Skin, I always feel safe, healthy, . and gorgeous!

Exceptional service. Relaxing experience she even gave me a complimentary treatment which shows me she cares about her customers LOVE the vibe! Love my after results. I feel really rejuvenated & happy with Meka at Skin Beauty Bar already planning my next visit!
