BEWARE! It's been three months and my nails still have not grown back after getting them done at modern nails in Pentagon city Mall by the food court. My toe now that he cracked all the way down the side started growing back and recently cracked again. Again be very careful about whatever chemicals are being used at this location because I have damaged nails and toenails after my visit.

This salon is very clean, and I've consistency received good service. The biggest downside is it gets VERY busy. Minus one star because they missed a portion of my eyebrows when waxing.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure. It costed $113 they charge $9 to take off gel polish. I didn't have much polish on my toes anyway because it was time for a pedicure. But whatever. That was the first time I was ever charged for that and I've been to many salons. My polish came off my nails in 2 days. Tracy worked with me to fix it. We were playing tag with our schedule but she was very accommodating so that's a plus.

However after getting my nails fixed my gel polished chipped after just 1 day. I thought the whole purpose of gel was that it last longer. I added a picture of my feet a couple of weeks after the polish on my toes chipped. When it finally came off the polish under the top layer was still wet. I have never seen that before I won't be returning for the price or distance.

I have never experienced Vivian being intimidating or domineering (such the opposite)! Vivian is very professional and caring. I really enjoy my time at Modern Nails Salon and feel safe while I am there. I will continue to recommend my family and friends to Vivian. It is sad how one person comments can taint someone character!

I have had my nails done multiple times by Vivian, each time she hovers and pressure me to leave a tip (even though I always leave one). Although she does a good job.it makes me feel uncomfortable. I feel bullied to leave a certain amount. Apparently a 15 dollar tip is not enough. A tip is a generosity, not mandatory. Sadly, I will not be returning

Fast service for a mid day Saturday with no appointment. However, I left without the original design, color or nail shape I wanted. It definitely felt like she forced what she wanted on to me and was reluctant to do what I desired. Also made some backhanded compliments and was a bit aggressive at times (even bled at one point).
