If you're looking for a real artist and hair stylist that is meticulous with his work, book an appointment with Raphael. You may have to book at least two months ahead to get in but it is well worth the wait. Treat yourself to the best!

I have worked in the beauty industry for over twenty years. I've had my hair done by some of the best stylist in the industry, hands down I can say Raphael is top notch, he is an expert at his craft. He is meticulous with his work and humble.

I am glad this place is closed. They purchased the front cover of our bi-weekly magazine and then refused to finish payment AFTER we published. I question Raphael's integrity. He refused to ever meet or even speak to us about it. We have no idea how or why he could justify making us write, layout, produce, print and distribute his cover story in four cities without full payment.

I am so pleased with my cut and color! So nice to finally find a color specialist and someone who actually knows how to do color. Such a pleasure!

I went to Raphael's Salon after googling "hair color specialist". After going to two stylists and having failed attempts at getting my hair done in the cut, color and style I wanted, I was so thrilled at the outcome of my hair with Raphael! I was confident in his abilities and absolutely amazed at his skills at color. He knew exactly what I wanted and I only had to talk to him and explain what I wanted and it was hair magic! Raphael's is the hidden gem of Palm Springs and the greater Coachella Valley. Raphael owns and operates the hippest, freshest and most friendly Salon, East of Hollywood (in my humble opinion). He offers every service any head of hair could need, and delivers those services at a level matched by few.

Although I had a good foot massage, they did not want to give me change when I paid. The cost was $30 for an hour foot massage, I gave attendant $40 and he pocketed it and said no change, it's tip. a40% tip? Outrageous. I demanded I get change, then gave him the appropriate 20% tip. Won't be back.

I just want to say that the Raphael Salon is outstanding. I have been coming to Raphael since 1999. I think his gift of a color, cutting, styling& everything that has to do with the hair is fantastic! I am willing to drive from wherever I am to his shop in Palm Springs and I would follow him forever! He's 5 * 10 * whatever I really mean: coloring my hair is never as shiny with anybody else!

When I'm out of country, I don't have the money to fly back and forth to Palm Springs from where I am in Europe. this man is fantastic I will always honor him and come to his Salon. Merci, Raphael! By the way I forgot to say Raphael has a wonderful assistant her name is Sara and she does an amazing job and gives great service so I don't want to forget her she's a terrific asset to his Salon one should always remember that and she can do beautiful color styling and haircuts for men and women thanks very much to the Raphael salon

Christina is amazing. I have been a customer of Christina for the past 6 years! She knows color, she knows how to do a short hair cut and she is very knowledgeable with products! Would not survive without her! Highly recommend her!

When i decided to cut my hair short and have a different look, Mauricio was my regular customer at Saguaro and invited me to give it a try. And i'm glad i did! Was a short notice walk-in. Very nice location on strip. I did 30 minute full body, since I have never had one. I instantly felt better and relaxed.

I don't believe that there is better stylist alive that meets all of my needs when I need them. Not only that, Rafael is current with new techniques. Therefore I don't get left behind with a haircut that I liked during the Vietnam era. He regularly attends seminars all over the country & world, so that we have the new cut or style before all the others! We heart our Raf & couldn't imagine what kind of ratty 'do' I would have to deal with were he not around!

If you want the best hair cut/style and colorist around, Raphael is the best. Raphael and his staff are fun, interesting and professional with the cutting edge of style, color skills. I am always delighted to visit Raphael and come away having the best color. Truly. Delighted again.

I called spoke with Raphael (he was very polite) made an appointment to come in the same day. I came in the place has been remodeled the Decor is beautiful. Fernando did my hair and did a fabulous job. I will definitely be coming back. I came back had the pleasure of meeting Sarah who is fabulous! She did a total makeover on my hair, I am pleased with the outcome and look forward to going back.

Just needed a quick haircut called RAPHAEL's Kevin answer the call and I went in to find a great Chicago hairstylist that did his great techniques and ended up with a great versatile short cut that can be styled many different ways, he's kinda new in town but I'm sure his name will get around in a great way. Call first. Information for hours was not correct. Found them CLOSED at 11:15 A.M. Found a great nail/ massage salon a few steps away. 324 N. Palm Canyon "Beautiful Spa" great service, good prices!

I have never had such a bad experience in a hair salon such as this. Fist off, I went in for just a quick consultation because I had a budget and made that clear. I needed to get my hair colored and cut. Without discussing the price, my stylist just began doing my hair. I was not prepared to actually do my hair that day. The process took over 6 HOURS for a simple trim and ombre coloring.

The stylist literally back combed my whole head and then put the color in it. Not only that but when he went to wash my hair, he began to comb through my hair, with the product still in it, with a fine tooth comb! I sat there mortified and in such pain as I saw him pulling out the clumps of hair! The result was nothing close to an ombre and I left paying an obscene amount.

Not only that but I noticed a few days later how uneven my cut was. One side was a good 1 inch longer than the other! I called the owner a few days later and received my money back for the color only and an offer to come back to the owner personally next time. Sorry but this salon scared me for life to ever consider going back.

My bad experience started at check in. I gave the woman at the front desk my name to check in and a women (I am assuming she was a customer) ran over to me and loudly stated OMG your the one getting the Brazilian?!? I was shocked that this woman knew the service that I was there to receive and even more shocked that she felt the need to announce it to the entire salon. VERY unprofessional!

The esthetician was very nice and she def. made me fell comfortable, but she gave me the WORST Brazilian wax I have ever had. I ask her to leave my landing strip and after getting up from the table I noticed she had taken everything off. I left the salon upset and not realizing my wax job needed further inspection. I did not notice the patches until I got home and tried to put my bathing suit on.

I spent the next 1.5 hours driving to the store to buy waxing and fixing my dalmatian wax job. I am not sure why an experienced esthetitian would leave a wax job unfinished. Unless you want to look like a dalmatian I would schedule waxing services elsewhere.
