So happy with my hair. Jenay did amazing! I went in to the salon not sure on what exactly I wanted. I showed her some pictures of different colors and cuts and told her to do what she thought would look good. I was definitely NOT disappointed. I am so thankful to finally find my new stylist. I'm a bit picky about my bangs and am not the best communicator on how I want it to look but Della was patient and helpful and most of all, did a great job! She really took her time to do a good job rather than rush me out like I've had happen before at other salons. Everyone was friendly as well, which is always appreciated. I will be coming back!

Critical: Quality My boyfriend went in for a manicure and they didn't even soak his nails or do anything with his cuticles. So basically they cut his nails only. Just because he is a man doesn't mean he doesn't want the full manicure experience. His cuticles needed work. He ended up going somewhere else after. Very disappointing. Service: Pedicures

Brook was amazing and did a wonderful job on my hair, I have already received several compliments. However, I also purchased a groupon and the lady that was doing it seemed very inexperienced. She's 21 and said she worked for Waxing In The City previously but I wasn't able to pick up on prior experience. She melted the wax three times and it was super hot, then it wouldn't come off my skin and she was having trouble taking it off, she told me she was done with my legs and there are tons of patches where didn't even attempt to wax the hair and I was supposed to do a Brazilian but it was an awful experience that I didn't even want to continue it.

I came home and I have tons of wax stuck all over me as well as my left knee wasn't even waxed, most of my left and right thigh wasn't waxed and my lower legs are patchy. She kept leaving the room to get more sticks and would just open the door while I'm laying there uncovered. I didn't want to give a 1 because of Brook but if I was just rating the wax it would of been 1, waste of money on the Groupon, didn't end up getting my legs and Brazilian. I would go back for the hair appointment with Brook but I would not go back for the wax.

I got a root touch up and wanted to go a little lighter with my hair which my stylist said was totally doable. I left with my hair in braids but when I took them out I noticed my hair was uneven in several areas. I contacted my stylist to come back in for a touch up and she said she was surprised that I hadn't asked for a redo sooner (who lets someone leave with hair they know needs to be fixed?).

After my touch up it was a little better but still not what I wanted and not what I asked for. To my surprise they charged me to fix their mistake, even knowing I was still unhappy with it. If you have long or thick hair, know that you will be charged $30 for each extra bowl of color.

Yes it's true in my adult life I have never gotten a haircut in a Salon! Yes I have been to many barber shops, and yes it's true I cut my own hair from time to time! But this was a blast! Jaclynn was fantastic and made the experience fun and exciting! She took her time and made sure my cut was exactly what I came for! I got a shampoo and cut for only 37 bucks and it was totally worth it!

The music she was playing was right up my alley and her conversation flow made the haircut experience all the better! Axis is super nice and clean! They do cuts, nails, pedi, massage too! Convenient location on Ingersoll and booking was a breeze! Got a reminder text before my appointment too! This was an enjoyable experience!
