Kerissa is amazing! I am very picky with my hair color and she did such a great job matching it and asking me what I wanted for my cut, I felt so comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. The salon is so clean and the hair washing stations are in a spa type of room, so relaxing! And they give you a hand and arm massage after they wash your hair: I will definitely be coming back and would recommend Kerissa to everyone! How have I not reviewed this place?! Being new in town, I had tried a couple of salons but not been thrilled with the results.

So, today I had my appointment with Noah for a cut and highlight. He did an amazing job, I could not be more happy with my hair! Finally! Nice salon, clean, organized, very friendly and professional staff. I found Noah to be extremely knowledgeable and he explained everything we were going to do for my hair. Great personality, fun vibe, very happy I chose to try this place out, I cannot wait to go back for my next appointment. Yes, they are a bit on the pricier side but I have found in Indiana, you get what you pay for.
I will gladly pay more for quality and having my hair cut evenly, color came out so beautifully and he showed me how to style it in a way that is easy and fast, I can do it myself at home, not just a one day look when you leave the salon. I highly recommend this place. I would give it ten stars if I could!

Once again, G Michael Salon knocks it out of the park! My stylist June did an AMAZING job transforming my overgrown, dull hair! The shorter cut feels so much lighter, and I love how rich the coloring turned out. I really appreciate her helping me purchase quality shampoo and conditioner to maintain my new color. Sean did a great job adding highlights to my hair and then touching up my roots a few months later. I have a lot of hair and keep it pretty long, but Sean did an excellent job of getting consistent coverage and keeping the highlights looking natural. Go to this salon immediately! Sean took amazing care of me one week before my wedding! We cut 5 inches off my hair and she gave me a fresh balayage. To this day, several months later, I am still asked who did my coloring. The salon is so clean and modern and everyone was very welcoming and kind. Services: Haircut, Balayage

G. Michael Salon is absolutely my favorite salon I've been to and I highly suggest working with June! She'll listen and collaborate with you to make sure your vision is created. Her hands are honestly magic and I've always left feeling and looking incredible, even when I didn't have a vision of what I wanted. June is so nice and easy to talk to so the whole experience at the salon brightens your day. The salon itself has a very relaxed, masculine, moody atmosphere. You can definitely tell once you walk in that you'll be taken care of by experienced professionals.

Sad to say I am back looking for a salon again. I used to go to G Micheal but it is a bit of a drive so when my stylist left I tried something closer to home, but didn't find a good salon. Recently I wanted a completely new style (short but not pixie short) and called for an appointment telling them what I wanted and was flexible in time and price to allow time to get an experienced stylist.
I was put with a new stylist that did very well following the cut I had but did not know what to do about the new style. I did not bring a picture of what I wanted, I was hoping for a stylist who could recommend a style that suited me and my curly hair that needs some coxing to not go flat. I was so anticipating the change. I left very discouraged that when asking for an experienced stylist they still put you with the new one that needs to build clientele. I didn't want to complain because she was fine for her skill level, I would use her to maintain a style but that is not what I asked for, I felt duped.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! No lie, I don't think I could ever go to another salon. G Michael Salon is where it's at! Pre-appointment: when I called to book an appointment, I had a lot of questions and the girl who I spoke with was very helpful. She was very polite and professional. I also got a reminder text to my phone before m appointment. Appointment: I got my hair cut and colored with June, who was considered one of the "newer" hairstylists (I'm not exactly sure what the rankings are called).
I like their ranking system because it allows for new stylists to get the experience they need and for customers to pay more affordable prices! June was honestly so great. I liked the transparency / communication involved in the process -- I don't know anything about hair, so I appreciate that she took the time to explain what could happen in the hair dyeing process. FINALLY, the BEST PART. The secret spa room where you get your hair washed is amazinggggg. It's so incredibly relaxing and I've never had a hair experience like this before. Can't wait for my hair to grow out so I can return to G Michael Salon haha :')

I visited this salon for the first time and Sean was my stylist. I showed her photos and tried explaining what I wanted (but wasn't great at it). Sean explained to me going blonde was a process and to do it safely would take more than one visit and also showed me some photos of what my hair would potentially look like. She made sure I fully understood and was on board with the plan before she put any product in my hair.
I really appreciated her honesty and how thorough she was. My hair turned out SO beautiful and I love it! Also, the hair washing station was the most comfortable one I have ever been in! Usually those sinks hurt my neck, but it was quite the opposite with soothing music playing and was separated from the rest of the salon; it provided a spa like atmosphere. Thank you so much! I'll definitely be back

Very clean, friendly and professional environment. I had the pleasure of having Hannah for my stylist to assist me in correcting what I had been cutting for several years. The look I was trying to achieve was very much nailed by her after seeing a few Pinterest photos. They have an excellent array of products, recommendations and styling tips to give. I ended up paying $65 for my haircut, shampoo and styling.
Well worth it and honestly very reasonably priced. These are professionals, not your SportsClips or SuperCuts "stylists". They are well trained and have to intern there to be selected to work there. If you need updates or professional opinions/styling, look no further.

This is a first class salon; over 12 months, when I am in Indianapolis, I have had 3 different stylists. All 3 excellent. It's also well run, on time, and safe re Covid guidelines. I've had blowouts, color, and cuts. I would not hesitate to use anyone. This is a FIND!

We have been looking for a high quality hair salon that can work on biracial hair. I mean its just hair after all. I was so pleased when I came across G Michael Salon. My daughter wanted to change her look for the upcoming school year and wanted to do a bayalage hair coloring. Our stylist Hannah was the perfect match for us. She was able to give my daughter the stylish look without making her look to grown up. I am so pleased that we have finally found our stylist.

I've been coming to G Michael for a few years now and I don't plan on ever leaving! Stevi is my go to girl! If you are looking for a very clean, professional, upscale salon, this is your spot! One thing to note- they do not allow children in their salon, (which is a pro for some). They always offer complimentary drinks (coffee, soda, water), they have a "quiet room" in the middle of the salon that is sound proof that they use for washing your hair (and usually give head massages or a complimentary conditioning treatment if they are running a special that month). Prices are a little on the higher side, but you definitely get what you pay for there.
I believe different stylist have different pricing. I normally just get a hair cut and it's about $50, which isn't bad with everything you get. Coloring is where I think they are a bit expensive. Highly recommended if your thinking about trying somewhere new!

Kerissa. Kerissa. Kerissa. She is the best! She brought my hair back to life and it quite possibly the nicest person! She's very easy to talk to, she's very professional, and her technique and advice is always spot on. I was hooked after the first appointment and have been back two times since. I love Kerissa so much that I booked out my next two appointments already! No one seems to be fake with their compliments which I really appreciate and no one has tried to upsell anything to me. I'm a huge fan of this place!

Visited the salon today for balayage highlights and a cut on long hair. I have some grey coming in at the front and Courtney knew exactly what to do! Amazing highlights, and cut and completely covered the area I was concerned about. Conversation was amazing, was offered a drink multiple times while there and really enjoyed the shampoo room that is like a spa experience in itself. Highly recommend for highlights - best I have found in Indy BY FAR! Booking online was easy too - didn't have to call and speak to anyone and go back and forth about dates available. Seeing all available dates online was such a great feature.

Cannot elaborate enough on what a fantabulous staff you find and G Michael! Oh so very understanding, nonjudgmental, and knowledgeable! Such sweet cuties! My initial contact was through Miss Alyssa. She was able to swing a same-day consult on a busy Saturday afternoon: My stylist was Miss Stevie. Although they do not carry the service I was seeking - they still treated me as not only a valued customer ~ but as a genuine person!
There was also another staff member rocking a blonde pixie that was also of great assistance. Sad I did not get her name. You can bet that I will be back very soon! To be understood and treated so very well is priceless!

Today I got my hair done by Emerson. She was AMAZING! I haven't had my hair colored or have had highlights in 10 years. I came with pictures and she was great working with me to get the look I wanted. For the 2 1/2 hours I was here it was so relaxing. The shampoo room was so relaxing and tranquil. With a scalp massage I almost fell asleep! Emerson also was so helpful in teaching me to style my hair. Definitely worth the money and I will be going back!

After much recommendation I stopped in this salon to purchase the dry texturizing spray. The salon is modern and sleek and smells amazing! Although I didn't have an appointment with the location the staff was very friendly and helpful with product recommendations! The woman up front told me the spray was their most commonly sold product (so it has to live up to the hype!) I spritzed it on quickly before running into the gym and it smells simply amazing! Thank you for amazing customer service and friendliness!

This is for all the pixie-cut gals and the ladies who are patient enough to grow their short hair out: make an appointment with Amilee. I've been seeing Amilee for over a year now, and as long as she's within a 60-mile radius of Indy, she's in charge of my hair. She won me over as I transitioned from a shaved head (you read that right) to the bob I'm rocking now. I had fewer aggrevating "bad hair days" in the last year because Amilee knew exactly what to do, and I'm grateful for her expertise. Therefore, stop hunting for the right short-hair stylist. Amilee's the one you can trust with your tresses.

The staff were friendly and the environment was nice. It was super loud so I couldn't hear my stylist very well but the inside is so professional. Everyone is dressed nice and super helpful! Karissa did my balayage and layers and I have really long hair, she did an awesome job! I loved it! I haven't paid over $150 for my hair to be done ever but I liked her and the job she did. I have. Even to so many salons and yes this place is expensive but this is most definitely a salon! I'll be coming back to see Karissa again! I've never been happier with my hair!
