Known historically as Electrolysis, the Galvanic method marked the first reliable solution for permanent hair removal. It functions by sending a DC electrical current into the follicle, which combines with salt and water to form a reaction. This reaction destroys the papilla and stops regrowth. However, its slow pace makes it rarely used on its own today.
Thermolysis

Using high-frequency alternating current, it generates targeted heat to coagulate the papilla and hinder regrowth. Its greatest strength lies in its remarkable speed, with each follicle requiring only milliseconds of treatment for long-term reduction of unwanted hair.

Our Blend method, recognized as the dual or sequential approach, applies lower intensities of Galvanic current and Thermolysis together to eliminate the papilla. The heat from Thermolysis enhances and speeds the chemical process of Galvanic treatment. By merging the two, treatment time per hair is reduced while preserving Thermolysis advantages.

After years of PCOS and attacking my face with tweezers/wax/shaving, I had enough and looked into getting electrolysis. I'm so glad I found Maeve. After about a month of sessions, all the hairs that get treated are so fine that I barely feel them anymore, and some of them just don't seem to be coming back. I'm going to follow Maeve's recommendations and zap the bastards until they're gone for good, but even now I'm so much happier and letting Maeve spend 15-30 minutes saves me so much time on the daily.
