Sister's Salon We could tell you that waxing is a Middle Eastern tradition started by the ancient Egyptians for a desire to be cleanly. And that this cultural tradition was passed down generation to generation. Sisters, Jeannette Abou-Mourad and Elaine Youhanna were born and raised in Lebanon from a large family with 9 children. There, based on the traditions of their culture, they started developing their own waxing techniques and skin care remedies.

When they arrived in the United States, the sisters had already honed their skills and immediately landed positions at the exclusive spa of the original Marshall Field's flagship store in downtown Chicago.
